Have your view about policing and stewarding at Arsenal
By Kevin Whitcher
Five minute FSF survey
Those regular readers may recall my own brush with the law back in March, and as it’s a quiet period over the next ten days before Arsenal start their pre-season fixtures, I will be writing with some positive suggestions about how the club can play a part in ensuring genuine fans helping out others get into the game by selling spare seats at face value next week.
Arsenal Stewards: Are they doing a decent job? What about the police?
Meanwhile, I have been contacted by the Football Supporters' Federation, who are conducting a survey regarding the policing of top flight football, to request that all interested supporters give their views.
Over to Amanda Jacks of the FSF: "Supporter issues around policing and stewarding fill our mailbag perhaps more than any others. This survey will help the FSF better understand the views of supporters of Premier League and Championship clubs in relation to the policing and stewarding they experience. The outcomes of these surveys will assist the FSF’s work in improving relationships between fans and those responsible for matchday decisions and safety. They will also help us in deciding where best to focus our efforts next season. "
The 40-question survey, which is entirely anonymous, can be found here.
So there you have it. If you want a supporters’ organisation that represents the fans to the authorities to reflect your own views and concerns, please complete the survey. I just did and it took me five minutes in total.

Went to Arsenal v Man city carling cup, all Man city fans standing and will not sit down as soon as the Arsenal fans stood up police and stewards made the Arsenal fans leave. I was shocked to see this happen as man city fans did what they wanted with on fear of reprisall - Post No. 26090

There won't be many stewards required soon at the emirates, as who wants to pay the highest prices in the world just so you can watch your best players leave year in year out before the season even starts! - Post No. 26112

Ive had plenty of experinces in the clock end where away fans stand throughout the games and as soon as arsenal fans stand up we are oredered to sit down. Its very frustrating and confusing. - Post No. 26120

I'm glad stewards make people sit down- it's absurd to keep getting up at every potential goal or, like the charmless Sp*rs fans- just stand up the entire time. Would you stand up watching it on TV? no: so don't oblige everyone else to! - Post No. 26128

I had arguments at every game where i wasnt sitting in the NB lower with stewards, telling me to sit down. over the course of the season not one of the stewards could enlighten me as to why away fans could stand and i couldnt. i was told to sit down even when at very back of upper tier with nobodies view obscured. Once i was even pulled aside for walking down the stairs too slowly whilst game was on! It ruins atmosphere and causes more problems then it solves. Canterbury Gooner if you want to sit down and watch it then maybe YOU should stay home and watch it on tv and let someone have your seat who will support the team....it honestly helps if you have a voiciferous crowd behind you - Post No. 26132

Sadly , I agree with Angry & Frustrated. The passionate fans at Arsenal will be getting thinner on the ground. The club has been destroyed by the Kroenke and his French lap-dog(wenger). - Post No. 26190

@Silas maybe I should let someone have my 'SEAT' so they can 'STAND'? Being seated doesn't make you less vociferous, that is utter nonsense. Basically you oblige everyone else to stand up when you do, it's just inconsiderate- they paid for a SEAT so you shouldn't disrespect their rights as fans. - Post No. 26226
