BREAKING: Arsenal start official talks with RB Leipzig over signing of Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with RB Leipzig over a £75million deal to sign Benjamin Sesko.
Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen his attack this summer with new striker is top of his shopping list, with the Gunners lacking a prolific goalscorer.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is meeting with Leipzig to discuss Sesko's transfer to the Emirates.
Leipzig sport director Marcel Schafer and Arsenal counterpart Berta are understood to have discussed the cost with the Bundesliga side demanding an initial £75 million for the coveted 21-year-old.
Arsenal spent most of 2025 lacking a potent threat up front with boss Arteta admitting the north Londoners could smash their transfer record in a bid to bolster their attack this summer.
Arteta said: "The budget is like when you have your wedding: you plan your wedding with your wife and you give her a budget and it's never less, it's always more.
"When you build a house, it's always more. Normally this happens. You prepare for different scenarios. Then unfortunate things happen."
Arsenal have also spoken to Sporting Lisbon regarding their prolific forward Viktor Gyokeres.
