Re: Barcodes match thread
after the unusual effort in Monaco, I expect us to be flat and jaded with the handbrake in evidence.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
OGL's obsession with not winning anything in Europe means we'll never get rid of him, as he plans to stick around to try to win something. Now he thinks the Europa League might be a good idea. It's unfair that he doesn't get to compete in it after he's failed in the CL. http://www.theguardian.com/foo...

Re: Manure FA Cup
Nearly had a heart attack but ohhhhh so happy. Well played, so much heart and but for de Gea, we'd have won more easily.
Brilliant.

Re: Manure FA Cup
Monaco scored 3 for the 1st time in the league this weekend, so we kick started their season for them. I can see similar happening tonight, with di Maria playing like he can, and of course Rooney scoring as he always does.
There's no belief deep down in our team that we can win there. 2-0 Utd.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
If Wenger keeps playing Bellerin and Gibbs, both bombing forward, we're going to get punished by all good sides. That reserve FB for Everton today put in umpteen good crosses. Luckily Lukaku had one of his lazy games (apart from flattening Ospina).

Re: Everton (h)
think Alexis gave the ball away just about every time he got it. Hopefully he can find the form he had before his injury soon. I don't knock Ozil as much as many of you, as he doesn't give the ball away all the time and quite frankly, he's our only player who'd have spotted Tommy in space for our 2n...

maybe Bergkamp and Vieira are hampered contractually by working at other clubs? Gilberto, definitely. Love him.
Did enjoy Jens' input.

Re: THE MEDIA: Ex-Arsenal Players, Pundits and Journalists
Patrick Vieira owes his successful career to Wenger, but I think he might say what needs to be said without being unfair or histrionic (Stewart Robson is an embarrassment to himself imho).

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11670/9732617/arsenals-big-name-players-severly-lacking-against-monaco-says-ray-parlour The Romford Pele has a dig at our big players, but reading through you wonder if Parlour is aware we actually have a man pocketing £8m per season (plus bonuses) who trains...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I hope Fabregas has the courage to put loyalty aside and tell us the difference between being coached by Wenger, Pep and Mourinho after his career ends. Hope Monreal replaces Gibbs for the Everton game. He might not be world class, but he has some idea of positional play and doesn't spend the entire...

At least he didn't bring on Flamini. I so wish Wenger had signed Lloris.

Re: THE MIDDLESEX SWAMP DWELLERS AWAY THREAD
So fixated on the new look defensive set up that we forgot to keep the ball and attack them occasionally.
Rosicky should have been on earlier.
We weren't good enough. Koscielny and Ospina looked rattled today and those calling for Bellerin over Debuchy have some thinking to do.
Crap.

Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
just back as well and agree on the atmosphere - sedated. But great to see Ozil play like he can. That first through ball to Giroud was sublime. And he and Santi showed no problem in playing in the same side. ( please Wenger don't leave one them out for Jack. Jack and Welbeck on the bench please). To...

Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Wenger in a relaxed mood yesterday, even cracking a reasonable joke about teaching Gabriel key words in English like "offside".
He confirmed no more signings this January.
