Re: Is Gibbs good enough
I've always thought that Gibbs was a left sided midfielder masquerading as a FB, but for me he's good enough for this Arsenal team but wouldn't get into any other top side as a first choice FB. He leaves acres of space when he bombs forward at every opportunity - don't know if he's told to do this, ...

Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Wenger something of an expert in making low, joke offers for good players. His coup de grace the 40m + 1 Suarez one. I'm so pissed off about Podolski, but I really wish him well. He'll score lots of goals for Inter if he stays fit. Also think Wenger is underestimating the morale boost to our feeble-...

Re: QPR - Home
Chambers soon to be followed by Mertesacker. If he isn't in Wenger's infamous "red zone", then I'm Nigel Farage.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wenger says he played Chambers at RB to 'ease the pressure on him'. So Wenger wasn't watching the game against Swansea then?! Beyond belief. He seems to be having a go at Mertesacker when he says no-one was leading or talking. It's his 2nd pop at big Per. I'm not saying Mertesacker is playing well, ...

Re: Liverpool Away, our kid.
cricket score if we'd played a side who could score goals today. Played like we'd been sedated. Too difficult it seems to even find a teammate with a pass all afternoon, even throw ins went to Liverpool players.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Sky were on a love roll as well. Pardew's hero worship extended to setting his team up to play to our strengths. Having said that, that's possibly the best we've played IMO this season. No Wilshere helps, Cazorla as playmaker did very well.

Re: Galatasaray Away Match Thread
There really are some dullards on here.  Get it through some of your thick heads; Podolski is a striker . He's not a winger or an attacking midfielder. He's not a number 10. Tracking back is not his strength, and it's not something he should have to do. Scoring goals, clinical finishing...

Re: Galatasaray Away Match Thread
Thanks for pointing out Rosicky's injury, Bentner's. As others have said, how and when did that happen???? I think we have to let him go, a good player but at his age I thought Wenger kept him for experience in closing out a game, such as David Platt was, but Rosicky is getting less game time than ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
had a short peek at Arseblog news and the overwhelming majority of comments are of the 'sadly it's time for Wenger to go' variety. Newcastle should get a result next week. We have Galatasaray away mid week and injuries and suspensions in defence which means OGL has to make unfit players play, or ris...

Re: Orcs Away
Stoke have 2 decent human beings at the club in Begovic and Bojan. Pity about the others and their manager. He and OGL don't get on very well do they so that could be another pushing or pouting bout. Mostly it's their fans that make me detest them though. Ramsey to score the winner and finally play ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
@sydneygooner - he does look like Ron Burgundy :D My first thought was "American AKB" (apologies to all decent American gooners here) I don't mind if Diaby gets a new contract as long as it's a pay as you play one. Anything else is white coat time. This worries me far more - Wenger today '...

Re: Orcs Away
They'll kick Alexis for sure. I detest them and have been hoping they'd be relegated for as long as I can remember because of their fans. Flamini will probably get sent off :rubchin: I hope Wenger doesn't play Koscielny if he's had any reaction to last night's game. He will though unless Kos can't w...

Re: SOUTHAMPTON HOME THREAD
Amid all the other drivel he talked today, OGL told the press that Koscielny still has tendonitis in one of his achilles tendons so needs to be handled with 'caution'. And that either Gibbs or Nacho would be fit to play.
We all know what that means.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Sanogo has got both goals for France U21 vs England U21. So he'll be on the bench at least for the Utd game and make it on ahead of Podolski again. Were they poachers finishes from 37 inches out? Didn't see the first. Second was a poacher's finish but first time, well taken. But it's U21. Sanogo sh...

He can't resist cheap and dithers far too long when there's any competition for a player.
