Re: Nightmare Debuts

Didn't Jason Crowe get sent off on his Arsenal debut? Edit: just checked and it was the fastest ever debut sending off in the football league... 33 seconds    That was the one that immediately sprung to mind for me - It was a league cup tie home to Birmingham (we won 4-1 afte...

Re: What if Bergkamp never scored that goal v newcastle?

JImmy Carter nearly scored the best goal in the history of the world, ever ; Playing for us away at Sheffield Wednesday on some unimportant end of season game in hand midweek match at Hillsborough ; he honestly went past about 8 players beautifully, and then when one on one with the keeper, had a w...

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

Superagent Muzzy Ozcan (who?), says Arsenal are set to announce the signing of the season in the next few days. Anyone heard anything? Or know who he is?? I heard that the player is Reus. Not necessarily linked to the exciting player X mystery, but yes I've also been made aware of the Reus thing.

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

WTF, Big Pat played more games per season in the old league when there were more teams in it, as well as endless FA cup replays, and the "Home Internulls" too  so he must have played many more, though perhaps a few less in Europe with the CL stuff nowadays :? . Exactly - The 79/80 s...

Re: Debuchy v Bellerin?

Bellerin's earnt the right to be first choice through his performances whilst Debuchy was unavailable.

It's up to Debuchy to win his place back.

Healthy competition for places, what a novel idea, we should have thought of this before.

Re: BERGKAMP 20

There are plenty of goals that are easy to eulogise about when talking about the great man, Newcastle and Sunderland, the trademark curlers against Barnsley, delicate chips against Sheffield United and leuverkeusen. However, Dennis was of course so much more than that, such a talented player that hi...

Re: Fixture Release Day

They are very nicely spread out, January aside (Liverpool and Stoke away, Chavs at home)

March onwards (scum and citeh aside) is a nice run of games.

Re: Kenneth Graham Sansom

I know what you mean but its much less so these days, very much 'god as you see he she or it' so it can be the old fella with the white beard, Dennis Bergkamp, or at a push John Hawley, the choice is yours. Sure mate but it varies from place to place, I've been to some where they end with the lords...

Re: Kenneth Graham Sansom

AA has some good points and bad points but the very first step is admitting that you are powerless over alcohol, and that life has become unmanageable. I think that's what has to come from Kenny . There's way too much god in it for me but there are millions it has helped so I wont knock AA or NA or...

Re: Kenneth Graham Sansom

There is a huge amount of ignorance and lack of understanding about alcoholism, I'm genuinely astounded that someone who has been in the fellowship so long could have such an incredible lack of empathy and apparent little understanding of the fundamentals of the illness.

Baffling.

Re: Kenneth Graham Sansom

The only person that can really help him is himself, he has got to want to do it otherwise nothing will change. Sad yes but there are a lot of people suffering the same problem, you don't hear about them much. Get a grip Sansom and help yourself. It's an illness, its not just as simple as 'getting ...
