Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Arsenal update. Eddie Nketiah has just signed new contract until June 2027, deal completed and sealed today after verbal agreement days ago. Official statement soon. 🚨📑 #AFC Nketiah turned down multiple bids from Bundesliga and Premier League clubs to stay at Arsenal. And that is why we won't do an...

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks
Maybe old news, but I was reading tonight that singing "sign on" or "feed the scousers" is now considered offensive as it is mocking poverty and shouldn't be sung anymore.
I guessing all humour is out now...

He's definitely off then!BobbyPires7 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 10:25 amThe only thing I would say about Saka is that he lives in the next street to me.
Seriously though, with him being on international duty and then most likely holiday, I can see this new contract probably dragging on for most of the summer now.

Re: other matches this weekend
Attitude towards English in Paris has totally changed. I was there earlier this year and as soon as I spoke English attitude changed and were totally rude to me and my partner. That was in travel information bureau. So absolutely no bias in your post then. I feel if you're in another country...

Re: other matches this weekend
The police were disgraceful. If want evidence at how poor the French are at organising security at a football match look at what happened at st.etienne the same night, and the trouble a two Marseille matches this season. Not having this playing the victims card again. The madrid fans at the same st...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Didn't Jesus get 8 goals this season - 4 of which were in one game? Hardly prolific.
We really need someone to ideally get 15+ in the league.

Re: other matches this weekend
To be fair UEFA called it spot on after Athens. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2007/jun/04/newsstory.sport18 But I see today: "Merseyside Police praise behaviour of Liverpool fans in "shocking circumstances" in Paris" Conveniently ignoring that it was t...

Re: other matches this weekend
From the BBC "Amélie Oudéa-Castéra (French sports minister) blamed a "mass gathering" of supporters with "fake tickets" for the chaos at the stadium." Just like the previous finals with the victims and just like any future final. What really makes me mad is that 97 of t...

Re: other matches this weekend
I'm sure that any enquiry by UEFA will come to the same conclusion that they did after Athens. That the problem is caused by the scousers turning up en masse with fake tickets thus causing issues for people with real tickets. That the problems only occur at the Liverpool end and the opposition fans ...

Re: other matches this weekend
Every time they get to a major final this happens. The opposition always seem to get in fine though.
But the club and media will blame the stadium security rather than looking at the root cause....

Re: other matches this weekend
A guy in Spain just posted that he doesn't know what we are seeing but Liverpool fans are trying to scale the fences and are being teargassed. If the UK media weren't so in love with this club they would report the truth. The loveable scouse scamps wouldn't do something like that. Must be supporter...

Re: other matches this weekend
Had a conversation with another Arsenal fan at work yesterday. He is about the same age as me, so remembers '89 really well. We were talking about the champions league and he came out with the classic, "well you have to support Liverpool because they're English". I had to put him right on ...
