Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
My early season optimism has taken a battering over the past few days, the injury to Timber is devastating, the blatant corruption on show at old trafford sickened me and the chavs signing every player in world football is wearing me down. Need a pick me up today. I honestly dont understand why the...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
We started on 60m and walked away at 70 for Caicedo last January and I thought that was bat shit. Spending 110m on a guy who was a complete unknown 12 months ago is a massive panic buy by the victims. It’s like they’ve felt the pressure of being 24 hours out from the first game of the season and co...

So are we going to give them each 15-plus games in the Prem League regardless?

Re: Aaron Ramsdale...worrying
IF we sign Raya, he has to be first choice. Paying 30 million pounds or more for another keeper just to keep the incumbent on their toes makes no sense. I'm not even sure City would be so indulgent. I'm sure Newcastle, United and Liverpool wouldn't. Sure, Chelsea have done it - but they are just blo...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
The keeper curveball reminds me a bit of 1990, when we had a very popular goalkeeper in John Lukic who had been an important part of the team which had won the championship a year earlier. We had gone off the boil the following season, and clearly needed to freshen up the squad which we did with And...

Re: Getting tickets
Short of capping the number of silver members, the club cannot prevent those used to getting tickets most of the time being disappointed much more often if there are now more people competing for the same tickets. If they are going down the ballot route for each game, what they should do, I suggest,...

Re: other matches this weekend
Very different perspective from me. United's treble in 99 was a travesty. They did not deserve to win the FA Cup semi-final. They were a cynical, thoroughly nasty bunch of thugs managed by a red-nosed Scottish c..t. With one possible exception (Grealish) there is no-one to dislike in this City side ...

Re: Brighton BE H Sun 14th May KO 430pm
This Polish bloke going down like that just as the ball was about to be crossed reminded me of Mertersacker ducking at Liverpool or Partey sauntering off the pitch at Spurs as they were breaking away to score. He's back running around now so it can't have been that serious.

The only player who has put in a respectable performance in the last four matches is Martinelli. Of course he is dropped!

When you think that the two sides' back up.strikers are Alvarez and Eddie the Feather it makes you realise that we are still light years behind the level we need to be.

Yet again Chelsea mug us off with a has-been who they know won't make them weaker or us stronger.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I do take the point that Jorginho is not intended to be a marquee signing, but to provide better quality cover for Partey and Xkaka in midfield. He is, evidently an improvement on both Elneny (who is in any case injured, possibly for the rest of the season) and on Sambi Lokonga. I imagine the contra...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I am in two minds about the signing. On the one hand, he has pedigree, he provides short-term depth and he may play a valuable role in helping us get over the line this season. On the other hand, since the Abramovich era began we have regularly taken 30-something players from Chelsea who they were o...
