Re: Mental health/depression issues and discussion

Good idea having this thread.. everyone has a story of themselves or a loved one. My own story is work related , I worked for a well known company for 15 years, 13 years of that were trouble free and unremarkable. I am a subtle fighter and will not take work related issues lying down. However I'm n...

Re: Mental health/depression issues and discussion

I was just going to stick the boot in, but I have shown great restraint.... 8) I find it so sad to read of so many suicides, one young 18 year old girl left a club on her own gave the security man a big hug on her return to the halls of residence, and upon the return of her mates, they found she ha...

[/quote] Rich 31 You are very correct in saying that sharing all to a stranger on the internet is easier than actually speaking to people who know you, I was with with 4 close friends I have known well over 20 years, since I was about 19 just a few days before I was moving out, we had a long car jou...

Re: Mental health/depression issues and discussion

Good idea I went through a period in my life where I was separated after a 16yr marriage, living in rented property, with hardly any furniture, paying maintenance, solicitors bills and for about a year it was awful. I didn’t ever go to the doctors but probably would have been diagnosed with depress...

Re: Mental health/depression issues and discussion

We've had a few discussions on the subject but never had a dedicated thread. I think it's a great idea mate. Hopefully it might help a few people but please don't be offended if the usual suspects take the piss. Thanks DB10 , and even a bit of light hearted piss taking might just put a smile...

Re: The ONLY World Cup thread (merged)

I genuinely struggle to think of a player luckier than Ozil in all the time i have watched football. The vast majority of players would not even of made the germany squad based on his club performances this season. On top of that he has been rewarded with 350,000 quid a week on the back of his lack lu...

Re: Transfers / players in / players out merged thread

Likewise I wouldn’t rave about him as somebody to drastically turn our fortunes around but he has experience at the top level and a cabinet full of trophies. Plus he will keep himself in shape and want to play as much as possible, so will genuinely put some pressure on that arrogant overrated shit ...

Re: Transfers / players in / players out merged thread

When Wenger was still in charge - 99.9% of us were moaning about how we would take anyone (almost) instead just to get shot of the cun.t and now he's gone and we have what for me looks like a very positive signing in a good manager, along with a total clear out of all those back-room staff who had ...

Re: RIP Thread

As a kid growing up in the seventies supporting Arsenal there were one or two players that most kids worshipped outside of their clubs own players.Ray wilkins was one of them for me...he was just such a big name and a star at that time.I remember seeing a picture of him sitting on a Rayleigh Chopper...
