Re: Team Spirit issues and management of Laca
Good post General. Too many people are forgetting that our crapiness is a long term problem. It didn't start with the current squad. Wenger has had dreadful squads for more than a decade. The Song, Eboue, Bendtner, Denilson team was just as awful but they were carried by Fabregas and van Persie. Bef...

Re: Team Spirit issues and management of Laca
Tony Adams once famously said in a team meeting after the Blackburn defeat in 1997/98, when are you boys ( he mean the French lads) going to start playing. The rest as we know is history. Probably without realising it you've hit the nail squarely on the head with that one statement. That " No ...

Re: AFC v Liverpool (H) 22/12 19:45
Two inconsistent teams so this is impossible to predict.
But if Liverpool's front 4 are on form (and our rearguard have "One of their nights") this could be yet another thwacking in Wenger's long, long list of thwackings.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
If we are still such a big club, why are we starting to see such big fluctuations in the attendance?? When we moved to the new stadium, pretty much every game was sold out and full. But since we started the protests, there have been quite a few matches with thousands of empty seats (Leicester, Sunde...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I don't know their history Nick so you'll know a lot more about why they are struggling. The relevance for me is that tourists were being offered Jets tickets but the " product " was utter shite and nobody would go a second time. That has always been the flaw in this master plan started by...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
But DB - part of the protests were trying to make people see that tourists will only pay to watch a successful Arsenal. We accept that is inevitable in the modern world and especially in London. However, the road that Wenger is taking us down is removing us slowly but surely from the London tourist ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
And that is the point that the protesters tried to make last season. Arsenal will not move forward under Wenger. With him in charge the best we can hope for is a scrap for 4th place and a domestic cup run - a far cry from our previous achievements. We tried to create a situation where the owner was ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
How can you lads hate Wenger so much , want him out, but want Arsenal to achieve the exact things that are going to keep the bloody man in his job?? I can't understand that logic - if we keep on achieving "Just enough" then this awful nightmare will just go on and on and on . . . . I'm no...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Well that makes me one of them because I would like to see the record equalled. Why? Because it is attributed to Wenger and he is so bloody willing to live off it over a decade later. It is ancient history and as others have pointed out, we are the only club / fans that live in the past in this way....

Re: champions league.. its shit.
The minute they bloated it by letting in teams finishing as low as 4th and dragging that boring fucking group stage out over 3 months it was doomed. Nothing beats knockout football but that doesn't start until late February and even then there are few memorable last 16 games as its usually top vs s...
