Re: CoronaVirus Latest

As someone who runs a micropub the government advice that people should avoid pubs just leaves the industry in limbo - dwindling customers but unable to claim on business continuity insurance. At least with a mandatory shutdown we could. We are not in as bad a position as some as we have enough mone...

Re: City Banned from CL for 2 years

Honestly, what is more of an achievement buying Vieira and Petit on a shoestring and turning them into world-beaters or spending hundreds of millions of pounds to bring the title back to Chelski for the first time in 50 years? If you ask an Arsenal fan, the former. If you ask a Chelski fan, the lat...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

And its the same with this Liverpool team. Just because they've got a ridiculous points total and have won 100 out of their last 101 games or whatever doesnt automatically make them the best. It is as much a reflection on the appalling standard of opponents they are facing every week as it is on th...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

I am quietly encouraged with what little we have seen of Arteta so far but if he really is to succeed in the long term it will not be with the majority of the players we currently have. I would say at least half will need to go, maybe even more than that. I agree, however it will take quite a few t...

Re: The Political Correctness Bullshit Thread

The problem with the judgement yesterday is that Veganism has effectively become a protected philosophy and can no longer be criticised much like certain religions cant these days but those people are free to criticise those who disagree with them with impunity. I think the wording is that you can'...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

Our Board wouldn't have the balls to appoint Ancelotti even if he wanted the job and we were prepared to pay for him because they wouldn't be able to control him in the same way that they can Arteta. In what way are the board controlling Arteta? They are his bosses of course they will exert control...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

What I dont get is why people think Ancellotti didnt just tell us to get to fuck after he was spoken to. You seriously believe that? I know people on here seem to hate on us and want us to fail, but our money is as good to Ancelotti as anyone. Maybe (rightly or wrongly) we wanted Arteta and didn't ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

Arteta is where we are. It doesn’t matter who came in to manage us, NO-ONE could get such a poor defence playing well, it simply isn’t possible. Our midfield is diabolical and makes the defence look even worse! People need to accept this, seriously!! The problem is not just the defence, it is what ...

So do you want him to fail?
We're all Arsenal supporters so surely we want the team to do well? Maybe not..... :rubchin:

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

I’ve seen countless posts on this forum talking about how Pep and Klopp both struggled badly in their first season in the league with both clubs finishing well off the pace that year. And that analysis is spot on. But for some reason because Arteta hasn’t us conquering all around us after 2 games w...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?

Really depends if he does any work on defending. If he is just going to work on "fast flowing attacking football" then it is going to be a disaster.
