Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wenger just doesn't have that desire to do what it takes. He is to busy living up to his principles rather than doing what is necessary to win. The socialist wage structure is a good example. In Wengers mind, this would foster collectiveness among the sqaud given the relative pay parity between the ...

Re: Oxlade-Chamberlain
Enormous natural ability. But he does seem like he is just going through the motions. Wenger needs to shoulder some blame, as he sets the tone and mentality which filters throughout. I cant help but feel our training sessions comprise of 5 a side football, and everyone is pleasant and complimentary.

Re: THE BOARD - Kroenke, Usmanov, Finances, AGM etc.
Usmanov would certainly break up the cartel and end the 'ill pat your back, if you pat my back' culture that begets the board, Gazidis and Wenger. Now wonder they resist him so much. As between the board, Wenger and Gazidis, they all cover for each other and have a gentlemen's agreement not to rock ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Its so embarrassing supporting a team that has a nose bleed when success is there for the taking. I hate Chelsea with a passion, yet they have won trophies over the years without being the best team, instead they just find and then force their way to victory - its something I cant help but admire. F...

Re: Is it time for a Jan Transfer Window Thread Yet?
'if I sign a midfielder, what do I tell Denilson"? Once Wenger backs a player, he backs him all the way. Almunia is a good example - clearly out of his depth but Wenger seemed intent in sticking with him. I get the same feeling with Giroud, in the sense Wenger had nailed his hopes to Giroud and...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I cant support Wenger. As much as I want to, my better judgement and the evidence proves he is incapable of getting the big prizes. After winning back to back FA Cups, and heading the top of the table a few weeks back, he earned the right for Arsenal fans to support him again. However, old feelings ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
He moves the goal posts to define success. If we regularly finished in the top 2 every year but never won it. He would cite a top 2 as success. Its only that 4th was the base of our achievements that he started the long campaign to convince the masses and media that 4th was a success, as well as the...

Re: The Yaya Sanogo lack of Progress Thread
Would a manager under pressure to win, start Sanago in a CL knock out match against Bayern Munich? That was a sick joke Wenger played that night. It was almost him flaunting his un-touchabilty right in the faces of every Arsenal fan. He was saying, im so in-bedded in this job, I can play a muppet up...

Re: Jack Wilshere
He smokes, swears, and in general behaves poorly of the pitch. But he loves Arsenal, hates losing, and is a quality player when fit. I would say we need Jack Wilshere's mentality more than ever. Sticking his finger up at City fans, shoving Pennant because we were 2-0 down to Stoke, getting sent off ...

Re: Guardiola- Up for grabs now!!!
Why make a move for Pep, when we can go through the motions of low expectations with an old senile manager who has played the same formation, tactics, and installed the same soft mentality that has constantly let the clubs down, for over a decade.

Re: Bournemouth away Sunday 1330
Flamini needs to F off. I blame him for Ramsey's poor showings of late. Flamini seems to think he has a right to venture forward, although why Arsene hasnt said anything to him, I dont know. Or maybe he has, and Flamini simply doesn't listen, and in which case shows Wenger's lack of control. Walcott...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Its also the manner in which he allows it to happen. The pundits write us off, and he proves them right every time. He is so weak and allows the likes of Alan Shearer, Tony Gale, Mark Lawrenson and other Arsenal haters to be proven right. Doesnt he have any desire to show up Jose? Jose gets sacked t...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Chelsea, Liverpool and United are rubbish. Man City have been incredibly inconsistent thus rendering them our only likely opponents for the title. Yet somehow, Wenger has managed to deliver us into 4th place with Tottenham and Leicester City higher in the table. You would think Wenger would be chomp...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
If we fall off the pace big time, I hope it hits hard and we actually fall out of the top 4. If we fall away, then start to perform just to hold onto 3rd or 4th, then the french Muppet will sell it as a success story.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Has Wenger succeed in lowering expectations so much, than simply qualifying for the CL is considered success? The idea of a league title has been sold as a pipe dream we should not expect. Yet why shouldnt Arsenal fans expect to win the league, given the players we have, and the money we have. He ca...
