Stars above the badge
Let's keep it real. If you win the European Cup/Champions League then you deserve a star above your badge. Liverpool could have 5 United could have 3 Aston Villa could have 1 Nottingham Forest do have 2. Chelsea are not allowed because of financial fair play. Now Huddersfield because you won the League 3 times that does not qualify for stars.

I can remember the days when we had stars behind the badge.

Re: Stars above the badge
They haven't got one on their shirts because apparently it would have meant re-registering the badge with the copyright office and then changing it on all the merchandise and official shit. They had only just done it for the current one so didn't bother to do it. From what I've heard, you can buy a badge to get printed above it in their shops.

I thought you were allowed one star above your badge for every 10 years you have won your league?

Re: Stars above the badge
Does anyone know whether you can get one for a 'good half' against Bayern Munich when the score is 2-5 on aggregate or for beating Leicester twice in a season?CloakedGooner wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2017 8:53 pmI thought you were allowed one star above your badge for every 10 years you have won your league?
Re: Stars above the badge
This might be the best solution for the 4th place trophy. Since technically no trophy is given out they could allow the star above the badge for every top 4 finish. Naturally we might have to re-design our badge if handed out retrospectively. They might even get the canon facing the right way.

Besides everyone who has managed in football for at least 30 years knows that anyone who attains the dizzying heights of 4th in the prem gets an invisible star above the badge each time, they are known as Super, Super Quality Stars.

Ah I didn't know it was different for each country. I just thought I'd heard somewhere before that that's why Rangers are allowed 5 stars on their badge. That must be the rule up there as well then
Re: Stars above the badge
Maybe we should introduce a star for every 10 trophies a team wins. Not VT ones real ones. That'll put us on 3 stars, Chelsea on 1, totteringham on zero and Liverpool on 3, and manure on 4.
Sometimes I think people on here forget just how successful we are as a club. Wenger seems to have forgotten a club is measured on trophies won, not top4 finishes.

Would Aston Villa not be above Spurs?
Re: Stars above the badge
We should have 13 stars for our league titles, seeing as we will never win the Be All and End All under this regime
