Re: UEFA to change seeding system
A decade ago there was a lot of speculation about a European League, you never hear it any more. The CL has just modelled itself as such a bloated money-spinner for so many clubs that it's quelled that sort of talk.
Re: UEFA to change seeding system
How could they make the competition any more exciting than it is currently.....the mind boggles
Re: UEFA to change seeding system
Well as long as the leagues are ranked properly.
Can't see why the Portuguese champions should get a good group when in reality even this Arsenal team could win that league at a canter.
Just don't want to go back to the farcical days of teams winning 3/4 European cups in row.
The CL format now is tough to ensure that sort of thing doesn't happen.

Mmmm.....stick to the gaelic stuffmcdowell42 wrote:Bradywasking wrote:Bad news for those who believe fourth place is an acceptable target and achievement. Think it will be good for the competition, but I think a bigger improvement would be to streamline the tournament to the top two with provision for a Champions League winner that does not finish in the top two. The idea of ambling through a season knowing that you are good enough to finish fourth is blunting ambition, certainly at our club.
Great Irish minds.

Lacrosse doesn't come anywhere near hurling,For years wearing a helmet was personal choice now it's compulsory for anyone plays hurling, obviously used for protection, all helmets now have a face visor but back in the day helmets only used for head protection.
Seriously lacrosse isn't that for pampered soft rich people.

It's grown significantly in popularity over the past 5 or so years, it is very much a prep sport.

Have a couple of those defenseman smack your wrists with a metal pole incessantly for 60 minutes twice a week and see if you still think lacrosse players are soft.VAVAVOOM 14 wrote:Having lived in America, I can confirm this - yes.mcdowell42 wrote:
