I've never felt such apathy at 2 late goals. I'm just fed up and the sooner the Specialist is gone the better.

Don't think that it was ever going to get busy in that sense tonight spuddy - I think most fans have accepted that we are an average team going backwards and most fans don't give a fcuk about champions league, so this was never gonna be a "gator night" imo

On a personal level, I would have got more enjoyment had Madrid scored two more in the last 5 minutes, than I did seeing us score those two goals (although I'm well happy for podolski 8) )

i feel just like i did in 83/84/85 - no single result changes the direction of the club, a loyal servant past his prime is left to flounder on despite top quality signings under him, when they should have been put out to grass.

i just try and imagine that in an alternative universe, another me just watched our Captain Aaron Ramsey finish off an equisite lightening move to make it 5-0 to us at the Bernabau against Ronaldo's Real to applause from Klopp and Bergkamp on The Arsenal bench.

In the post match interview, the drooling journos ask DB10 "Dennis, have Arsenal re-defined Total Football ?" , "not yet" he replies with a twinkle in his eye...

Could argue that in the greater scheme of things, this is a terrible result. A defeat and the knives would really have been out for him. 6 points from the next 2 PL games on top of this, and the board sit back incredibly content, thinking what a truly wonderful manager we have. Unbelievably, there is a couple of groups in the CL which are not that strong, and there is a chance we could meet one of the weaker teams who win their group. If that happens, unbelievably, we could reach the last 8 before getting hammered. However, by that time, the damage will have been done, and Arsene remains at the helm for at least another 2 seasons. Help.....

I really think it is going to be Walcott, The Ox and Gnabry who match Sanchez's ambitions and style of play.
Walcott has been at the club 9 seasons and we are still waiting. The Ox is too hit and miss(see the Hull game) and Gnabry will never make it

The problem has and always will be Wenger

Sanchez will gone in 18 months he is too good for this shower of shite

He did, Merson was spot on and has been the last few times I've listened to him.

Although until very recently he was one of the countless people who would moan about everything but then any question arising about Wenger he would scoff at.
Merson say on the CL goals show that if Wenger left Arsenal tomorow every top club in the world would be queing up to have him!!!! Yeah Bayern would sack Guardiola Real sack Ancelotti Atletico sack Simeone and Chelsea sack Mourinho for our specilist in failure.Do me a favour Merse

I screamed the house down, after Gibbs' and Podolski's goals, but this result changes nothing. We got out of jail tonight, against a team that would struggle against the majority of the 20 PL teams. We are shit, worse than ive ever seen us under Wenger, and I hope fans who went to Brussels enjoyed it, because I have a feeling that this will be our last year in the CL for quite some time.

We will finish 4th, Wenger always does enough to. At the moment United look like a better side which is pathetic but true. But Liverpool, Spurs and Everton are absolute shite and will not finish ahead of us.

The only real danger is Southampton, Koeman has done an amazing job after they were stripped bare in the summer. I just dont know if they can keep it up and I'd find it hard to see Southampton qualify for the Champions League.

Last season we finished 4th because we made a really strong start, and had Ramsey playing world class football. We have zero consistency, and we are going to drop points against plenty of the shit teams. Also L'pool are crap, but will spend big in January, we definitely wont, this season is going to be on of the worse we have ever experienced.

Apparently the whole episode worked out just as Wenger had planned. These are his genuine post match quotes, I kid you not.

"It's a gambling situation in these games and it worked,"
"In the last five minutes in the Champions League the nerves play a part and we had to get into these five minutes without conceding a second goal,"
"I had hope, it maybe didn't look like it, but it happened"
What a f*****g clown.

I know most of you are armchairs but I can tell you when these things happen and u are there , its the sweetest buzz of them all particularly away from home and particularly in Europe !
Reminded me a bit of a magical trip to Genoa when we mugged off Mancini and Lombardo !

I loved the who the fucking hell are you ,started singing it myself and almost woke up the neighborhood Spudmasher you melt its what footballs all about !

Couldn't sleep afterwards and Merson might be right but fuck it enjoy it while you can , couldn't sleep afterwards and Im still buzzing may have to go for some Stellas at lunchtime and sing football songs to calm me down .

Only Arsenal can do this to me !

In know we are shit , I know we wont win it but somehow they keep me hanging on !
