Should i stay or should i go

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Should i stay or should i go

Post by TheOne2Smooth »

To be honest at the moment I don't really care at the moment! I come here because I Love Arsenal and I wanna see my team to well yeah sometimes I stick up for players where others wouldn't! But of late i have noticed a growing trend of people insulting the more optismistic posters on here and sometimes even moderators are doing it. Sorry but i believe moderators should be diplomatic and argue a point with out throwing insults about! Recently Quartz left due to a thread which i found offensive and i'm not even jewish so god knows how quartz felt! This forum is going downhill many users have disappeared due to it, I myself are contiplating it myself!

I think you should stay - whether or not people share the same opinion or not doesnt really matter. It is because people don't always agree that makes this place so interesting as people see things in different ways.

Its just a forum where discussion goes on - lets not take it too seriously eh?

Wow - my first mod duty; removing a duplicate thread! Thanks Smoothie!

Personally, I think you should stay because you give a diferent viewpoint to my own on many topics and I like to read others views, but it is up to you, of course.

I don't agree there is a trend towards abusing the more positive posters any more than there is a trend to abuse the more negative (or realistic  ) posters on here. Plenty of the so called rose tinted brigade do little more than read a few negatives and then post rolling eyes emoticons or just slag off the original poster. It is a two way street. Mostly it is banter.

I also don't agree that mods should be sweepingly neutral. The mods main priority (as it was explained to me) is to keep the site within legal boundaries and to cut out any OTT personal abuse or "cyber bullying". After that mods are just posters like everyone else and entitled to their opinion on a given subject.

If you want mods to be non-Arsenal and uninterested then the .com has plenty, but I wouldn't recommend you go there, mate!

As my old Portugese barman used to say, "Stay. Stay before you go!"

And that was Reb being "nuetral"!!!

In all honesty, I agree though. Reb had nothing to do with Quartz leaving.
