toure puts one in his own net at villa ,campbell get a four game ban,bolton kick us to pieces and we lose at home to harry kewells last good game for leeds. we lose the title that day and suprise ,suprise when the pressure is off put about 7 past southampton at home
05,losing the 50th game in bitter circumstanes at old trafford,the team took weeks to snap out of it,by then chelsea were on a roll.we finished the season with 83 points (pressure off end of season run?),which would win the league some years.
08, eduardo incident caused a run of draws ,and losses to chels manu u and liverppol in champs league.83 points wasn't enough and wenger broke up that midfield ,putting his faith in diaby,denilson,song and eboue to come through .......(after title lost we comfortably win our last four games)
10,we were chasing down 9 point defecit from feb and almost got there til
almunia flapped at brum ,team hardly won a game thereafter,team very depleted by injuries in last few games
11,meltdown started after carling cup .However,bar tv first choice team has been available since blackburn games and have got 6 points in 5 games,hurts cos it just happened,but this is worse than last year
cos there are fewer excuses
overall theme of the meltdowns is that whereas chels can lose achamps league qf to manu and win their next three, and man u lose to liv and chels and then start winning
wenger can't get his teams year in year out to snap out of a slump..........
