Wasnt there something similar last year with mata that if he was bought b4 a certain date he could have been bought for fairly reasonable amount of money and if he wasnt bought by that date the price went up.

Yes there was.£18m buy out clause

Signing Ba would kill Chamakh and Park. The Spuds will definately go for him

Been saying for months that this guy should be one of our main transfer targets. Wont happen though because Wenger is a clown. The amount of shrewd buys that he has missed the boat on in the last 6 years is staggering, especially when you consider the dross he has brought to the club.

I'd love to see Adam Johnson at Arsenal but he signed a new contract at City in January so i would guess he is going nowhere

Adam johnson makes no sense to me after buying podolski although selling walnut might open up a wing spot. Tbh johnson has always struck me as a typical young modern day football.......big of media attention and big wages gone to his head and as a result he has a bad and lazy attitude and thinks that he is better than he is

I know I make this point every season but I really cannot see why we dont make our signings early in the transfer window - we all know we cannot compete financially with the big clubs so why wait around for them to price us out of the water especially after a player has a good euro 2012 ? There is enough quality available within our budget but we seem to want to wait around and pick up the leftover scraps from the big clubs when they finished buying

Because we have no intention of going that little bit further to really challenge for the top trophies, augie. It is a calculation - we can spend millions less and still "achieve" the general aim whereas even with spending, the odds of winning one of the top trophies is small, so why bother.

It's really that clear - which is the reason that Wenger looked so frantic at west brom. the process is pushed more to its limit every season, to the point where it's touch and go whether it tips over the edge and out of the champions league.

I cant stand Hazard he seems to have a serious attitude prob :x

His brother Micky was a *word censored* aswell. I wonder if it was Micky's Chelsea connections that helped him choose them over us :rubchin:

Any news on Demba Ba? 7m seems a bargain. I know he has injury concerns but I think he's more than worth the gamble.

Kevin Keagan & Kenny Dalglish are available, both are proven goal scorers, might be worth a gamble.
