As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Some of the older lot are still wearing the designer gear Frank, same as flat caps. Some of that tradition still lives on so the youngsters copy it.

I don’t wear colours and sometimes wear a flat cap but have done for years. It was my good luck hat but after qpr I will give it 1 last chance.

I don’t have a problem with it. However as you said what I don’t like is when they give it all mouth which I see on a regular basis and don’t have the bottle or ability to back it if it comes on top.

Scum away for example loads of them giving it. Next minute me and my mate surrounding by swamp dwellers and no sign of the “giving it younger gooners”

Another i noticed is many of the loud singing younger gooners give it in the pub before the game but in the ground, they dont start any chants at all.

I ain't having a pop at Denten. I'm doing the opposite, Denten was a legend. The guy I'm talking about was being a Leg End.

Mate, i know what you mean about the younger ones giving it the big un but nowhere to be seen outside. However, i don't think thats any different to how its ever been. There will always be those who give it but hide.
Take it with a pinch of salt really.
I have to say it seems to me that all the older faces turn out for the london games. I certainly mentioned it to my mate Saturday.

As for the charlie, thats been going on at away games for a long time now and is nothing new. If thats what people want to do thats up to them, just like drinking or smoking its part of their day out.

Fair enough. The problem I have is with charlied up numpties giving it to other Gooners. I've seen it plenty of times over the last couple of seasons. I am also talking about the younger lot. The older lot at Loftus Rod looked proper old school.

I was at Loftus Road on Saturday and I know what you mean Frank, but then this is just a new generation of away gooners coming through. I class myself as one of the younger group of fans, I'm 24 years old and have been going to away games regularly for about 4 years now, there's normally about six or seven of us who all go together.

We're not trouble makers or wannabe hooligans, we're there for a few beers, a day out together as a group of mates, a sing song, seeing the regular away game faces and obviously the Arsenal.

Having said that, we did get some trouble at QPR with the police after the game, but that's not through our lot being mouthy or trying to stir trouble or start a fight, that's through the police being heavy handed and trying to cause more trouble than there was in the first place.

And yeah we mouthed off back to the QPR fans outside the pub on the way back to White City tube, but that's just part of the banter you get at any football match, it was never going to kick off there.

Embarrassing stuff. I don't know where we get them from. :cussing:

I dont recall Denton swearing much you plumb, and whats with the Dressing like him did he have a davie crokett racoon hat on ????

It seems that the OG is the new Firm Site.

I'm so reassured that when it goes off, half of this site will be there to fight for the Arsenal name. 8)
