I have no problem with the club offering different commercial products and partnerships, but the bottom line is invest in a good manager, good coaches, good medical staff, good players and good training facilities.

I would agree. What Arsenal seem to be saying is that instead of Arsenal branded products (e.g Credit Cards) we are likely to see Third Party products being offered in return for sponsorship.
I can also see a basic membership becoming free, to effectively capture as much marketable data as possible, a bit like the DVLA do, and then sell it on.
