26 May 1989

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

28 years ago right now we were experiencing the most amazing moment that football has ever seen or.will ever see.

When is somebody going to invent a bloody time machine ????

Lol at David Pleat bleating on about it being "poetic justice" that we were going to win 1-0 at Anfield and still lose the title.

Happy days :barscarf: I have the newspaper cutting of George with the trophy under the Anfield sign and had it autographed by him at the video launch then got it framed.

29 years..hard to believe...Sacred date in our history, it was desecrated in 1999 by Man U and I hope it isn't tonight by Liverpool

What a night that was and yes we are all 29 years older. There will never be a conclusion to a season as dramatic as that and citeeh claims for their QPR match are laughable. Then the celebrations at the town hall on the Sunday were brilliant.

I seem to recall that for some reason or other we were unable to take up our place in the European cup despite winning the League.......come on Madrid smash the fuckers tonight.

I'm on a pub crawl up north and was on a train this morning with loads of Scousers. Took a lot of effort to not start singing "we won the league" and "one minute". Cheers everyone.

Although Colin Firth didn't come out of one of the houses in Avenell and snog some random bird, that scene was true to life. After the game thousands of gooners poured into the street outside the east stand from the surrounding pubs on Blackstock Road, and indeed much of North London. It was quite a party, 10,000 gooners singing all night. One made it a long way up the scaffolding on the side of the East Stand, he must have been heavily inebriated, fuck knows how he didnt fall.

Great night. One of my early memories of Arsenal Glory, I was too young to remember the 71 league triumph.

Greatest day of my life, was in one of the travel club coaches that got stuck on the M6 we entered the ground just as Bouldie’s header was cleared off the line. It was like time stood still waiting for Mickey to finish that move then it was absolute carnage :barscarf: . My cousin decided not to go after the Wimbledon game boy does he regret that now :D nothing will ever top that day , hence by username in case you were wondering
