Arsenal - thanks for the memories.....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Watching that last game at Highbury video gave me goosebumps like eggs. Fuck I miss those days. I just don't associate with the club OR any of our players now.

not sure if it warranted a new thread but TA6 back at the club coaching u-18s. :barscarf:

we need more of in the way of legend presence at the club. if we can get bergkamp and vieira back that would be even better :barscarf:

Agree 100% with that mate. But - most of the pampered little shits coming through the ranks probably don't even know who Tony Adams is. They'd just see him as some old bloke to be ignored before climbing into their Bentley.

Think Jay Emmanuel Thomas, David Bentley, Philippe Senderos and many many others. £10 grand a week contracts at 17 when they've achieved precisely nothing in the game. It'll take more than Tony Adams to reverse the rotten culture of young Premier League players.

Proper kit and proper badge and it was so good to see keepers wearing green jerseys

Same.

Somebody in work tried ridiculing the England 96 goalkeepers kit until I fervently pointed out that it was one of the rare shirts in which an England keeper has done credit to himself (two notable penalty heroics in Euro 96).

Met big dave back at my first game against Blackburn ( nige with the winner). Was a complete an utter gentleman and still is to this day. Its funny we were talking about henry getting screwed over in a coaching capacity, big dave had the same happen to him
