Football Christmas chants

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Football Christmas chants

Post by Nos89 »

Back in the day many Christmas songs/ hymns had football terrace chant alternatives. Bergkamp Wonderland springs to mind... anyone remember anymore?
Listening to Christmas songs on loop for 10 hours a day is doing my head in, and I've forgotten the bastardised versions.

Away in a manger no crib for a bed,
the little Lord Jesus looked up and he said
"We hate Tottnum, and we hate Tottnum
we hate Tottnum and we hate Tottnum"

Jingle Bells
Jingle Bells
Jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to see Arsenal win away.

Mary's boy child, Ian Wright, was born on xmas day
Hark now hear the Arsenal
The tottnum run away ( the [****)
and we will fight forever more
because of Boxing Day

but that was a bit cruel, watching merseyside sink under a mountain iof cheap heroin in the late 70;s early 80's was a sickening sight !

Just before my time and a one-off given the circumstances but the ''Silent Spurs'' rendition I am told about after winning there 5-0 at Christmas 1978 is the stuff of legend.

Anyone here that was at that game?

Ah but does she then blame the Police, Maggie Thatcher, and the Sun newspaper, whilst mentioning hearing "loads" of Cockney accents in your house... followed by insisting on candlelit vigils for... basically everything?

:D

" I wish you wouldn't judge me til May"

To the tune of" I wish it could be Christmas every day "

But "I wish you wouldn't judge me... til it's May" does.

You're welcome. :D
