True, but our record when having to turn up on the big stage is terrible.

Would also be just like us to nick a draw over there... and then lose 0-2 at home. :|
That wouldn't surprise me either! We will mess it up somehow!

Just hope wenger doesn't start playing mertersacker now he's nearly back to full fitness, that would be season over!
Agreed, but I bet he does, and it would be season over. :(
Captain Metersecker back in defence and Ramsey wide right....Marvellous....30 years in football.............

CL Last 16 is the european equivalent of Prem 4th.
Ooh - so there is a trophy for it!!! :barscarf: :barscarf: :winner: :winner:

Gunners club secretary David Miles told BT Sport: "We are through to the knockout stage for the 14th consecutive season, which is testament to manager Arsene Wenger and the teams throughout that time.

Its definitely not just "bad luck", there's something fucking fixed about the whole thing.

HOWEVER, it doesnt matter that we pulled them in the first round. You have to beat good teams to win it, so who cares if its the first round or the 3rd? May as well go out early and concentrate on the league (if we're even still in with a shot by end of Feb).

Let's be real, we would have lost to Sevilla or Porto or whoever we faced anyways.

Quelle surprise - the latest in a long line of second leg moral victories look set to follow, a la Milan. Think 4-0 away before some sort of semi heroic part recovery against Bayern lite in the 2nd leg. The Groundhog makes his return

The only respite is, if we did finish second, it would have been Barcelona.

Anyways, try not to get smashed in the opening leg.

We've got better, they've declined.
Huge advantage being at home second leg.
But their winter break will help the.
Going to be two cracking games.

City are going to get pumped by Monaco.

53 goals in 17 ligue 1 matches for Monaco against a defensively suspect city side. Falcao will have Stones on ice skates.

Im only worried that a hammering, might open up old wounds and spill into the league.

Its imperative we make a game of it. And you know what, this is the best team we have had since 03-04, so we should do better than previous efforts.

Remember we once played Sanago against Bayern. You look back at the former teams that got touched up, and the current one is much more resilient.

We haven't got a hope here. We might, however, exit in glorious heroics and we'll have to suffer TOF's spin, along with his disciples waxing on ad nauseum about our 'resilience'. Krunts! :cussing:
