At least Sanchez wants to win. Unfortunately he'll be off and winning elsewhere.

All the papers seem to have it,think it's damage limitation from the club now, making Sanchez out to be the problem.

I don't think it takes Einstein to know the real reason for the club's problems, and it's not a player who wants to win every game he plays in,alas the press seem to give the real reason an easy ride as usual.

Hes also off form and the entire midfield doesnt seem to know what they should be doing.
When him and Santi were in the mid-field together it worked well - Coq just defended whilst Santi set up the forward play and pulled the strings.
agreed Wenger should have looked for a Santi replacement, badly missed, team not the same without him
We've got Cazorla's replacement already at the club, he just happens to be out on loan for the season at Bournemouth...Jack Wilshere.

Wenger is happy to throw anyone in front of the train as long as its not him.

Saturday it was clear the midfield didnt have a clue what to do or where to be especially when not in possesion.

They had 12 days to prepare for the game but appeared to have no game plan .

The back 4 were left on their own by the 6 attackers .

farcical defending for the all 3 goals !

Don't think it's any sort of mitigation for Wenger and the club that there was a bust-up. Looks worse if anything because it shatters this image they peddle about everyone being happy happy. If he's lost the dressing room that essentially shows that him staying means Sanchez (and in reality Ozil leaving) - Schwarzer said exactly this for BBC article.

Fans and media are not going to be quick to turn against our best player for the last three seasons.

Made me sick on BT sport the commentators kept saying in the second half...... Wenger's subs (Sanchez, Walcott and Perez) have scored 42 goals this season every team would like a squad like that ......... NO!!!!! It meant he started with 42 goals not in the first choice 11 :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Problem with the media is one paper will make up a story and every other paper will quote it as fact. The Wenger "story" where he said "my choice is Madrid if I leave Arsenal" never happened. The Star wrote that a "European giants Real are said to be the side he coverts most" and other papers just quoted it as "Wenger has said he'd chose Madrid". Absolute horseshit. Sounds to me like The Pravda team have planted a rumour to discredit Sanchez and protect Wenger tbh. :|

Do you really think this is helpful to Wenger though?

As it was, it was one of many selection errors and tactical disasters that led to a limp-dicked defeat - one of about ten every season for the best part of a decade now so nothing new.

As it is, any fans or pundits with the tiniest doubts about Wenger are not going to suddenly vilify the bloke who has been our best player by a mile since he joined, has dug us out of holes this season and who gives the impression of wanting to succeed more than the rest of the side combined. It's even more incredible that he would drop him only to the bench - if it's a misconduct issue meriting a dropping then surely he shouldn't have been in the squad? Wenger stays, Sanchez goes - that much is obvious. Add into the mix the painful memories which the club has of losing its best players given th events of the last decade or so and the recent show of player power at Leicester, and this story has got plenty of legs.

I know the press are full of shit and each paper will elaborate more on each other's rumours to try and be seen as having the scoop (hence the transfer market rumour bollocks each year), but it would seem strange if the story has no truth at all.

Wenger will deny it I reckon.

Funny quote from the Guardian today

"Sánchez’s relegation to the bench at Anfield on Saturday seemed a curious move at the time, but now at least we have an explanation: not an especially convincing one, though. If Sánchez was left out of the starting XI as a punishment, bringing him on for the second half made it a half-hearted scolding, to say the least. It is a little like sending an errant child to their room but letting them have a burger and a big‑screen TV while they are up there."

Wenger hasnt got a clue anymore. I really think this is the end :barscarf:

Well, the fearsome Liverpool turned out to be just as shit as we are tbh. Apart from a couple of good goals (with huge help from our schoolboy defending) they were pedestrian. Yes they were better than us for the whole first half but we matched them for most of the second once we got Sanchez on.

Three incidents decided the game;

1. Wenger is a fucking moron. To leave your best player on the bench to prove some childish ego-driven point (either to the player or the world in general) is lunacy beyond belief. Wenger tried some "tactics" and it exploded all over his face like a cheap porn actor. I was confident we would get something from this game but the minute I saw Sanchez left on the bench (and the expression on Sanchez's face) I knew we'd lose one way or the other. The fact he tried to say afterwards that it was a "tactical ploy" was fucking embarrassing tbh. So this is why he doesn't "do tactics"? Because he hasn't got a fucking scooby. Utter gobshite. PLEASE FUCK OFF. :x

2. Emre Can should have been off for two bookable offenses. Cowardly bald bastard referee bottled that one. The late jumping-in foul on Walcott was almost identical to the first booking Surman got for Bournemouth. Deffo yellow for Can, that's two, you are off you cúnt.

3. Sanchez's last minute shot being blocked. That risk we took (which we had to take in fairness) of playing so attacking and risking getting hit on the break came back to haunt us and what easily could have been a 2-2 draw (however undeserved for our shower of shite) is then a 3-1 loss. Scoreline flattered a very average mouser team.

As for our players?

Coquelin is singularly one of the most unintelligent players I've ever seen. No positional sense, cannot pass, cannot retain posession, gets booked for too many stupid not needed fouls out on the touchline or on the half way line. He is stealing a living as a footballer. Makes Song and Denilson look like they could play. :x

Xhaka, one great goal and a couple of nice 50 yard diagonals aside has delivered nothing. Cannot tackle, cannot pass, no positional sense, drifts out of games too much for a supposedly key holding/central midfielder.

Cech is gone. Done. Waaaaay past his sell-by date. He now looks like he's diving in slow motion ffs.

Monreal and Bellerin have regressed from two of the best fullbacks in the PL to two of the absolute worst. Monreal was at fault for one of the mouser goals and Bellerin was utter shit again. Bellerin's pace appears to be gone, he cannot cross worth half a fuck, and defensively he has become a liability. Let him fuck off to Barca, he's no use to us and hasn't been for months. :|

The rest of them were shit too. Welbeck took his goal well but did nothing else right. Giroud was mostly anonymous. The two CH's looked like deers in the headlights half the time. The Ox had his usual couple of good runs, a decent pass or two and then nothing.

I never said Pravda have the brains to do it! Just that nothing would surprise me tbh. Personally I think Wenger tried to be tactical and prove a point to God knows who in one fell swoop and it backfired spectacularly.
