MAN CITY HOME GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I estimate 73% possession 846 sideways passes and a 0-3 loss with one shot of ours on goal (1 own goal)

If we do win, Wenger will treat it like a cup win - it will be a magical triumph and he will revel in 'proving the critics wrong'. Wally and Aaron will come out and say how the rest of Europe has been put on notice. And it will be like the 10-2 Bayer thrashing never happened, likewise the 3-1 defeats to Liverpool, WBA and Chelsea.

Because if there is one thing Wenger and the players are the best at. Its whitewashing history and using one good result to atone the previous 5 bad ones.

All the same, what if we dont get another big result this year? What if Wenger doesn't get his opportune moment to announce a new deal? We would have to beat either City or United at home, or Tottenham away, or win the FA Cup - these are the only chances Wenger has to create a window for him to announce he is staying. Or is he that arrogant that he would announce a new deal following a defeat. Which given his passive aggressive behavior toward the fans, ensures it might be plausible.

Im torn, as on one hand, I really do not like City, Jose or Tottenham, but if we beat one of them - Wenger will use it to announce a deal.

The question is who do you dislike more at the moment?? And City, Jose or Tottenham are not destroying our club....Wenger is.

This kind of thinking really does my head in. It is difficult enough to try to get people to protest, so when people keep posting that he has already signed and they are just waiting to announce it, if makes it so much more difficult.

Back on topic, top 4 in danger so the players will step up, Arsenal win for me.

Win this one and we're 4 points behind City, with a game in hand.

City's next game is Chelsea away, same night as the Wham game for us.

Man United have got WBA and Everton at home, Liverpool have got Everton and Bournemouth at home.

We could be 4th, a point behind City, with a game in hand come Wednesday night!

Of course we could also be 7th, in free-fall!

The only thing that makes 7th unlikely is that our closest rival for the Europa League spot...Everton...have got Liverpool and United away nextup.

6th it is then.

Oh, and a defeat and a win versus City and Wham is my prediction.

I would venture we will somehow manage a draw - and even that will give the cun.t every excuse to smirk like the shyte faced twatt he is and announce.

Wenger has put us in this untenable position by his arrogance, greed and utter failure to know and accept his time is over.

City need the win as well. They need Champions League football.
Guardiola needs the win. It's going to be very nervy...

Our bottlers or their bottlers?

Our squad is in disarray, our Manager is wobbling, our star players want out.

0-5 to City.

I still think we'll end up behind Everton, probably 7th. We may win two more games this year & this 'aint one of them, or the 'Cup' SF. :barscarf: :barscarf:
