Just really shows what a prize mug he is, (notice I do not call the imbecile by name)
This will be his only way of qualifying for the CL, top 4 finishes are a thing of the past and rightly so!.... 8)
Like a lot of our support, he seems to think that the Europa league is somehow beneath us.
In reality, it is probably about our level nowadays.
I would suggest once we get to the business end of this competition (if we do??) the level will be a step above us.

Seems like being in Europa League has hit Arsenal, in general, pretty hard. Hopefully a tool in the turning point that we need.

Let's just bag this tournament and fight for the league (maybe win? :rubchin: )
That ship has already sailed......

6pm kick off - are we competing with Emmerdale now rather than Europe's elite?

The level will be a step above us because we will field weak sides. Normally aren't many (if any) standout teams in the competition, but you will have to play 4 competitive knockout ties against teams desperate to win the competition. Despite the arrogance about the competition from the PL and our club particularly, only 3 English clubs have won a European trophy in the last 23 years since we won the CWC. Despite their rise domestically, Spurs haven't got near the thing. Lament the ills of modern football and bloated European competitions all you like, but for me it's something actually worth winning. Unlike a CL qualification spot.

It's just a relief to not be involved in the money league, have totally ignored it, to be honest I've forgotten it's on. Don't miss it and it's not sour grapes, i miss it like a woman leaving an abusive husband, the occasional good night with regular beatings....miss it!...naw

So, what's with the perception that we're too good for this competition? :?

We're nowhere near good enough to win our own league, let alone the Champions League. We've been Europa League level for some years now and quite frankly, it's a little humbling. Regardless of the fact that it's played on a Thursday; it's a fucking European competition and winning this competition would slightly improve our DISMAL record of European success.

I want to win it! :barscarf:
