Europa League (merged thread)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We always have a defensive calamity performance in us thanks to Wenger's tactical genius. The only way we'll win the EL is if we get flukey draws like in the FA cup, but with more games, 2 legs and some half decent teams in it I wouldn't be putting money on us just yet, Wenger is useless in Europe, in fact he's useless full stop these days.

He might start to prioritise it, assuming we are still in it at this stage, when we are festering in 7th place and too many points off "the 4th place trophy"

Realistically I don't see us coming anywhere near winning this. He will prioritise getting our "natural place" back in the PL, 4th place, to the detriment of the Europa League and the FA Cup and whatever they are calling the League Cup this year... :|

Couldn't give a fucking fuck who we get. Wanker will find a way to fuck all this up. He sees himself as superior to this competition and will treat it with utter contempt until such a time as he needs it to further his own personal myth. Then, it will become a huge thing like the FA Cup. God fucking forbid we win this, because all we'll hear is that Wanker has won a European trophy with Arsenal and he's a genius.
This absolute shitbag of a competition is bang on his level. It's where he belongs and has belonged for a decade or more.

Astana
Skenderbeu Korce (who the fuck?)

Pots for tomorrow's draw

To be honest, you could pick us and any 3 teams out of the first pot as our group and we should stroll through it. Unfortunately our problem is we will stroll through every match, with zero effort and TOF will guide us out the door as per

Don't forget that the real heavyweights like Olympiakos won't be entering the Europa League until after this stage. :D
