Modern Football Bol**cks

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Back in the day,you used to be asked to observe " a minutes silence" once in maybe 3-4 years, usually for a Football icon,or a FIFA/UEFA official.or a Head of State.
Now it seems as if no matchday experience is complete without participating in one.
The TV close-up,and the selfie opportunity have become an integral part of the "Day Out."
Unfortunately this has diluted what was a genuine show of respect, into simply a show. :banghead:
Love visiting America, but we have succumbed to an Americanisation of grief...has to be for all to see, and there has to be a hero with a story somewhere ....

I have to agree with my eggball that we seem to have so so many minutes silence transcending into fucking applause accompanied by selfie sticks stuck up their self promoting noses to show they care...
Do they care? Do they fuck! they are too busy looking for a signal to download their plastic grief to Facebook....
Arse holes.... :cussing:

Hope you all had a good Fathers Day btw!.....

Arsenal have entered an agreement with Universal Pictures that will see the club promote the film company’s latest movies.

The partnership, which appears to be similar to one that Manchester United have with 20th Century Fox, means we could well be seeing Arsenal players appear in bespoke trailers.

Maybe they will get Walcott to star in the next Fast and Furious film.I have heard that the working title is,"The Fast and the Spurious."

Personally I think we should all observe a minutes silence in memory of Arsenal FC.

It must surely be time that the bindippers had another one. They haven't lit a candle or done some sort of misery dwelling for at least ten minutes.

I guess with so many tragedies happening at the moment, they are coming thick and fast.
I reckon we should have at least one a month for contemplation time.
