The socks were white with dark blue hoops I loved those kits but in those days you couldn't buy them with a cannon !
I was a very lucky boy as I had a seamstress aunty who got someone at her work to embroider the badge and I got it for my 13th birthday ,it looked fooking great !

Im here ,the world was in black and white then ,I remember them replacing pounds shillings and pence with decimal coinage but never when the world went from black and white to colour .

Even when he was young Peter Simpson looked like he was 50 !

Even in B&W that strip looks fucking awesome. I love that 60s/70s simple red body white sleeves white shorts proper cannon.

Such a shame that they essentially merged it into the UEFA Cup/Europa League. Fucking group stages in European competitions are an abomination; it should be a two-leg knockout tie from the first round

I think so. I heard that Keown was used in midfield now and again back in the day. Early days for me of course. I was learning about football on my own with no guidance from family or many peers. Gunners Magazine, Shoot magazine and crap MotD highlights were all I had to go on. I was gutted that no-one could take me to games back in the 90s when it was still somewhat cheap to go to games.
