My First Arsenal Team

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A staple of the Cup Winners Cup. I always liked that 8)

Such a shame that they essentially merged it into the UEFA Cup/Europa League. Fucking group stages in European competitions are an abomination; it should be a two-leg knockout tie from the first round :censored:

I think so. I heard that Keown was used in midfield now and again back in the day. Early days for me of course. I was learning about football on my own with no guidance from family or many peers. Gunners Magazine, Shoot magazine and crap MotD highlights were all I had to go on. I was gutted that no-one could take me to games back in the 90s when it was still somewhat cheap to go to games.

I still fucking love that 1994-96 lightning bolt kit though 8)

He was also often used as a man-marker to great effect. 8)

But I also remember Jon Sammels, Sammy Nelson, and Eddie Kelly who actually had the equaliser against Liverpool in 71 despite Honest George staking a claim to the goal, watch it again to see if it's conclusive :? 8)
