It's back, other games this weekend

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Looks like the rest are pulling away from us, Kroenke looks to have turned us into another of his midtable franchises even quicker than I expected..

Good luck with those ST renewals next May..

I am patiently waiting for the warchest stories just before Sanchez walks away and the ST renewals are all in.

Judge me in May = FAIL - overridden I stay

Anyone know why Spuds (and West Ham ) are not playing this weekend?
Spuds don't play til Tuesday against Swansea yet the teams that played today are mostly playing on Monday.
They also played first on Boxing Day , so when they play Swansea on Tuesday they will have had a seven day break in which some teams will have played three times.

Sky moved the match to New Year's Eve, but then the Met said they would only approve a 45k capacity at Wembley. It was too late to move it back to Saturday, so Sky got their way and it's on Thursday

A third straight draw for Moanhino. Things are getting interesting in the manure land. Would be hilarious to see them miss on top four.

It won't be funny if we get in at their expense. They are having the same problems as they did under Van Gaal - defensively sound but not enough cutting edge going forward.

I think I get more pleasure watching the Mancs and their plastic fans and c.unt of a manager getting their knickers in a twist than I do seeing us win these days. Its normally the third season before he falls our publically with the owner/board/key players/media, but it seems Pep's success has fucked him off so much he can't resist it already! Truly one of the c.unts of the modern game and hopefully becoming a busted flush, years behind the modern approach of Guardiola. Not a specialist in failure yet but can't see him winning the title these days with his boring brand of football and spiteful attitude to management generally

Palace v City...what a THRILLER!! Palace, cunningly set up with all 10 behind the ball, fans cheering to the rafters every time they manage to hoof the ball out of their box or, even better, win a throw in....Puncheon completing a terrific game of football by absolutely scything de Bruyne down, gets a yellow from Lardo Moss, "just a yellow" agrees Graham "2 yellow cards, but no red" Poll, as de Bruyne gets stretchered off. What a crap team Palace are.

The only way to beat these teams is to get a goal (easier said than done of course), then they HAVE to come out and play.... against us they conceded, HAD to come out and play, and scored TWICE themselves!! And of course without the entire team behind the ball they will concede more. So the plan is....get 10 behind the ball, hang on for a 0 - 0, then their manager will say at the post match "I thought we deserved to win it" Yea right, after all you had at least 20% of the possession.

How is this the "best league in the world" when every team from about 8th place down gets 10 behind the ball from KO against the "top" teams?? If people woke up to how crap we are they would realise they stand a better chance of getting something out of the game if they came at us.

I always thought a "game" was where both participants tried to win, obviously it doesn't apply to modern football.
