Stars above the badge

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I thought you were allowed one star above your badge for every 10 years you have won your league?
That's in Italy
its one star for every ten league titles.
when juve got two titles took off them they refused to change the stars as they said they wouldnt accept the ruling.

ipswich have 3 stars , one for the league, one for the fa cup and one for the uefa cup, how fucking stupid is that :rubchin:

Maybe we should introduce a star for every 10 trophies a team wins. Not VT ones real ones. That'll put us on 3 stars, Chelsea on 1, totteringham on zero and Liverpool on 3, and manure on 4.
Sometimes I think people on here forget just how successful we are as a club. Wenger seems to have forgotten a club is measured on trophies won, not top4 finishes.
We used to be the standard for class and style too.....but thats long gone.

Would Aston Villa not be above Spurs?
No actually they would both scrap 1 star.

Surprised why they only list the London Challenge cup twice as they have claimed the title on 8 occasions, which sounds impressive until you find out West Ham have won it 10 times and the mighty Arsenal 12 times, QPR have 5 even Orient, Millwall and Brentford have 3 lol.

More importantly didn't the scum once win the London Masters Indoor Tournament For Fat Old Retired Footballers? I think it was back in 1999? Why ain't that on their "honours" list....? :rubchin:

They could call it something snazzy like "The LMITFFORF Trophy". :barscarf:

Conversely, what about relegations. When I get into discussions with Glory Hunter United fans, particularly, I ask them how many times the have been relagated (as I feel this is a minus trophy. None of them has ever been able to answer. When I tell them it's at least 4 they are not happy and don't discuss it!!

Relegations should take one trophy away. They are an eternal embarrassment kept forever. No one takes it off you next season like a trophy win.

I sometimes take it further....how many seasons have you had having been relegated or put another way how many seasons have you not been good enough to have the right to play The Arsenal?

Of course, works equally well with Chelski, City and Spurs!
