FC Cologne (H) | Europa League | Thu 14 Sep 20:05

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

it's ok, I found it.

They have been given 3000.

Obviously a few short of what they wanted
A bit odd how the allocation is less than the 8k we usually allow for? They'll have plenty of spotty teenagers inside the Clockend for company.

Thinking about it General, the Club probably realised that we'd have fuck all in the way of proper support there and 8 or 9 k of this lot would be a total embarrassment for the Club, as they made it sound like a home game. It would highlight our even more than usual, apathetic support. There'll probably so kids there tonight, that it will have the high pitched sound of a youth international match, or even worse, one of the netball or hockey finals they used to hold at Wembley, attended by shrill schoolgirls !!

It's what we've become.

:( :(

European minimum allocation is 5% of capacity. FA Cup is 15% which is where the 9k comes in

20000 Cologne fans in the city whether they have tickets or not is good for the economy. :D

Quite so, invisible exports, good for the balance of payments. Certainly looks like it's good for our beer industry.

Most of them will get tickets, our lot will sell them. At least 15,000 Cologne in the bowl this evening

I had a pint with my elderly family friend this afternoon off Upper Street. He survived four bombings as a kid in WW2. I did warn him there were tons of Jerries about Upper Street/Holloway Road. They closed the bar at The Swan. They eventually invaded our fallback pub, by the time we finished.

I'm looking forward to the game. The first one this season that I am bothering to watch live, streams permitting. TOF may not be taking it seriously, but I already know the Cologne fans fucking are. Their side may have started like shit in the Bundesliga, but this will be a tough game.

Strange how the old bill just let these lot bring central London to a standstill....if it was Millwall they would be reacting differently

Arsenal
13Ospina
16Holding
4Mertesacker
18Monreal
24Bellerín
30Maitland-Niles
35Elneny
17Iwobi
14Walcott
12Giroud
7Sánchez

So, a basic 2nd XI with Sanchez in attack just to make a point. Probably to see if he'd refuse to play and then spread the propaganda against him.

The kick-off of #AFCvCOL has been delayed by an hour in the interests of crowd safety

Surprised Wenger isn't highlighting this.

How have the police allowed this to happen? Still today when English fans go abroad, we're treated like scum. Why the fuck do they let German or Greek or Croatian fans run riot?

Lol, they are storming the barricades....Wenger will focus on this if we play badly...Plus K.O. delayed for an hour giving Wenger even less time to prepare for Chelsea. Quite a smorgasbord of excuses to pick from if this doesn't go well.

And Koeman might be the next manager down the road if this carries on....3-0 down with the Mancs at the weekend
