But losing 10-2 on aggregate is fine. After losing 5-1 on aggregate the season before. And not qualifying at all the season after.

Completely different circumstances Mark. In fact I would even go as far as to say they were special .....Jumpers For Goalposts wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2017 1:51 pmBradywasking wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2017 1:22 pmCarlo Ancelotti has been sacked by Bayern Munich..Apparently losing 3-0 in the Champions League is unacceptable...

Why On Earth Have They Sacked Him?
Did He Have The Hand Brake On?

Re: Ancelotti Sacked by Bayern
I have advocated the hiring of ancelotti as our next manager for a long time now - granted he isn't the radical new manager like simeone is (for example), but I think that he would be a very unassuming and practical appointment and the type of guy that would be ideal to transition from an outdated French cock, to a modern day innovator

But he will no doubt tell the world his was approached.

Maybe if he had won the first half against PSG he wouldn't have been sacked..OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2017 2:29 pmWhy On Earth Have They Sacked Him?

There are some people who think its worth pointing out that Arsenal led 2-1 on aggregate if you only count the first half of both legsJumpers For Goalposts wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2017 1:51 pmBradywasking wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2017 1:22 pmCarlo Ancelotti has been sacked by Bayern Munich..Apparently losing 3-0 in the Champions League is unacceptable...

Of course out of both managers involved in that shocking scoreline, it was obvious Ancelotti would go first. I dont like Bayern Munich but they are a ruthless club run by football people who take pride in what happens on the pitch because a lot of them have a history with the club.
They are exactly what we could have been but are not and never will be.
