we saw everything youd expect from a wenger team last night,a defence with no organisation that can be split open time and time again, some technically gifted players and some senior pros who cant justify their huge pay packets :barscarf:

What expectations?? :? Being second rate is nothing new. We've never had European pedigree and have wasted the last 10 years of European football being content with simply being in the CL.

We've been in the CL for 20 years and for the last decade it's been an utter bore. Tottnumb qualifying from the group stage (like we did every year) doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I'd much rather be in a European tournament we can dream of competing for.

As for our performance; who cares? Our reserves took 10pts from 4 games and qualified with 2 games to spare. It's good news and shouldn't be spun negatively.

My expectations...in my eyes we are the in top 3 clubs in England, scum have always been in our shadow...ALWAYS

Wenger blamed stadium move for many years saying it was stopping us competing...does not seem to be hindering Pocchettino

I expect the Arsenal to be challenging for the title, with their resources and revenue we should be

seem to remember Wenger saying years ago if he does not win the league in 2 years he will walk??

Now all seems quiet on that front, before he leaves he will ruin the club if not already

as for Europa shite not bothered....

So using your logic we should forget about CL, and the title, and concentrate on the Carabo cup as its something we can win... :D :D :D

Wenger would love that.....absolutely NO pressure to achieve :banghead: :banghead:

Well I can safely say that was the most boring game I have ever been to. And for whatever reason I still remember Norwich at home in 93.

That’s twice I have been in the last 6 months and the gaps in the seating, even the rows, is very apparent. As is the general apathy of the crowd that are there. Most attenpts our group made to start chanting were met with indifference or wide eyes.

Although one guy in front of us was a comical highlight, chanting solidly for Walcott for at least ten minutes. He was wearing a Mets cap so obviously a glutton for punishment anyway!

The lack of enthusiasm I think can’t be hidden by a few diehards, and only really changes for he biggest games. Surely the club must know what a lift and breath of fresh air a new manager would be. Instead we are at the whim of an uninterested owner and a manager who just can’t let go.

Early in the commentary last night (might actually have been before kick off), the bt commentator (not ginger hartson) referred to red star as the 1991 European cup winners - it made me a little sad when I tried to think what the foreign commentators refer to us when we play away from home :( The team that set the record for consecutive champs league qualifications ? The club that has only once reached a final in europes main competition ? So many micky mouse clubs (like red star) have that moment of glory that will always be mentioned when talking about them, but here we are, supposedly one of the world's biggest clubs, and we have absolutely no success in our history to justify our status

One of the red top rags this morning is claiming that coquelin got into an angry argument with a fan at the final whistle ......... anyone heard anything about that ? They said that coquelin reacted as the players were booed off the pitch - from what I heard on tv, there seemed to be fcuk all booing from the fans, but personally (as shit as coquelin is) I would prefer if the booing was aimed at overpaid w**kers like wally and lampost

Mickey Mouse clubs? You surprise me augie you're an old school Gooner and must remember the days when playing away in Eastern europe was almost hard as playing Barcelona, harder maybe. Clubs these days have fallen from the top might be Mickey Mouse now but weren't then.

and I'm happy to go toe to toe with any of the posters you've mentioned
Just for the record going toe to toe in modern football aggro parlance has been extended to include throwing of plastic chairs and mouthing obscenity's from behind a large police escort ! :box:
