The man who stood on the Highbury pitch circa 2004/05 and allegedly asked Gilberto Silva what was the new building that was taking shape at the back of the West Stand.. The answer "it's our new stadium "....
He had his moments...but too many stupid ones that cost us dearly...We haven't had a best 'keeper since Seaman yet such has been the extent of the mediocrity...As for the book...no thanks..

With Seaman, Jennings, Bob the Legend Wilson etc we've had many great keepers, but then a succession of clowns, none more so than Lehmann.
He could pull off amazing saves and was a great competitor, but I never want a nutter in goal. I always felt he was as likely to punch the ref as make a save.

I always liked and thought Alex Manninger was a very good keeper, but because Seaman our best ever keeper was no 1 he didn't get a look in, he could also have been something of a GK legend.

Blame him more for 04 than 06. 06 was gutting but Eto’o was through on goal and if our greatest ever striker didn’t bottle it we’d still have won.
04 was inexcusable. Two piss poor mistakes which cost us the trophy.

Also that stupid fucking penalty he gave away late on for a stamp at the swamp the day we won the league in 04.
Fucking idiot and agree with DB10 cost us at least one CL along the way too. Fuck him

Re: Jens Lehmann autobiography offer
For me they are equally as bad. A real top keeper would not have come charging out and cleaned the BarcaWhore out of it. He would advance and close the angle. A goal is just a goal. You are still in the game. But down a man at that level you are really up against it. But of course Lehmann was the circus clown and it was all about him. I wasn't even vaguely surprised that the thick cúnt did it tbh. He had form for that level of selfish stupidity. The stupid cúnt.northbank123 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2017 11:03 pmBlame him more for 04 than 06. 06 was gutting but Eto’o was through on goal and if our greatest ever striker didn’t bottle it we’d still have won.
