arsenal v koln, europa league.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So we sold out our allocation but there were hundreds of empty seats. :?

This could well have been the case because the number of seats in the away section (the two blocks in the upper and one in the lower tier) was higher than the actual allocation (e.g 2.800 or so seats in the away end with an allocation of say about 2.500). Anyway, I guess the travelling gooners enjoyed the night out in Cologne way more than the match itself. At least the atmosphere was about right  and good te see @MKGould at half time, hope you all had a safe trip home.

brilliant for every fucker who travelled (must be 5,000 as there were loads there without briefs) to watch that experimental side wenger picked to boost his own fucking ego, can honestly say maitland-niles, nelson and and the other *word censored* surely don't want to get into the first eleven on a weekly basis judging by that performance.

oh well, besides the match it was a good laugh :barscarf:

As with a few times this season I forgot we were even playing because of the different kick off times.
If the original poster could do the f*cking job properly and post the kick off time in the thread title, it would be so much better.

I see that cologne lost again yesterday (0-2) - before they played us they had kept just 2 clean sheets all season and had been conceding an average of almost 2 goals per game, and had failed to score in ELEVEN games   Hardly the greatest endorsement for our squad

Well it's not all bad as our reserve team won their group with a game to spare. Koln fans needed this much more than we did.
