With "Expected Goals" do they see Welbeck and Walcott,Giroud and Iwobi and summise that no goals are expected? Is that how it works?postmanPat91 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 1:15 pmYou also need to factor in 'net spend' and 'external resources' of the 'financially-doped' 'Sports Direct'-money GeordiesGoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 7:31 pmOkaaaaaaaay but when you add in the possession % and total pass numbers it gets really really bad and my HND level maths and science can't keep up, surely it was just easier when it was measured in goals for and against to decide who won the match.xisstential wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 6:04 pmObviously you cannot expect goals if you cannot adjust your finishing. A leetle beet lacking jaded sumo wrestler in the final third.
Anyway a struggling Newcastle are bound to get a boost this weekend
Ivan's right IMO, at 7th place below the Scum and oil-barons Burnley we're vastly overachieving

Don't mention the Newcastle game, I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it

Is there a prize for knowing the games is on but not giving a f**k?
Seriously though, flat-track bully win 4-0 to the Arsenal and maybe some ear-cupping from Giroud.

It’s all a bit complicated for us simpletons who haven’t worked 30 years in football / sit on the board of directors Wenger said we have ‘world class strikers’robbo10 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 2:34 pmWith "Expected Goals" do they see Welbeck and Walcott,Giroud and Iwobi and summise that no goals are expected? Really couldn’t give two squirts of piss about this one

Is this the Burnley thread?

Fair play to anyone who can be arsed to give two fucks about this one. We win, and the master of spin will come out with a line like "Well ehhh, we have had a difficult couple of games, but you can never question the speerit in this squad". I would happily see us lose this, just to see that prick squirm, rather than hand him a win that helps in the race for the VT.

This. All top 4 does is guarantee Wenger stays and more shitting our pants in the CL when we face any decent team. Happy to be relegated now it has got THAT bad, if it means all the c**ts festering in the boardroom all go away.BFG4 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 8:45 pmFair play to anyone who can be arsed to give two fucks about this one. This game holds about as much interest as the caravan channel but we'll probably win, because that is what Wenger does best - beating crap teams at home.

Success for some is beating Spurs and a decent cup run. Some have even said they'd be happy with a Europa cup win, oblivious to the fact it would only serve to preserve the specialist in failure's stranglehold over this club. Wonga is a clever manipulator and throws out various subject matters (Wilshere, City's dominance etc) to deflect attention from his failings. Suddenly nobody is talking about our pathetic away record which is the worse since 2006 or the fact that defensively we could leak a goal any time, all matters that can be directly attributed to the fraud. It still hasn't sunk in for a lot of fans even for some WOBs. The defensive mistakes against United were once again on show against Southampton and West Ham, latter 2 just didn't have the quality and luck to punish us.
As long as we're safe from relegation results mean little to me. My sole motivation is to see the back of the French coont at any cost. Problem here is Newcastle are hopeless and can't defend for toffee. I still wouldn't put it past these snowflakes to huff and puff their way to another drab draw. What could be more exciting than watching a fat Spanish waiter tactically outmanoeuvre a dinosuar.

Out all day - hadn't even appreciated we had a rare 3pm kick off on a Saturday until my lad mentioned it.
Couldn't give a flying fuck - its all on the 3 cups. This boring race for 7th until May shall be relegated below Christmas shopping and cleaning out my sock drawer on a list of compelling things to do
Can someone please update me though as to how many times spoilt c.unt Alexis tries to dribble round their whole team, falls to the ground in a heap and whines at everyone else, or how many times you feel the need to shout "TIMBER" as the sad old c.unt in goal goes to ground like a 100 year old oak tree

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle Saturday 16 December 3pm.... (Who will win the sewing machine??)
A distant relative of mine, many moons ago, made his debut for Newcastle against Arsenal, in a (surely scintilating) 0-0 draw. At the age of seven I had an Arsenal shirt with Geordie Armstrong's number 7 on the back, and a Newcastle shirt and loved thinking that some of those professional footballing genes ran through my body as well.
Ever since I've wanted the Barcodes to do OK.
I think another tedious 0-0 might be on the cards unless we get an early goal.

They are a mess and in absolute turmoil - no way will we drop points here, and if we score early it could be a trouncing for them cos that is what we do
