West Brom Away 31.12.17 - Travel

Post by mattyj3nks »

Hi all,
Ive got my tickets for West Brom away on new years eve but was just looking at trains and its a very reduced train service after the game.
The game will finish at roughly 6:15pm but then the next train from the hawthorns towards Birmingham city centre isn't until 7:14pm and then 8:25pm.

So can imagine the station being very busy with only one train an hour and a lot of people trying to get back towards the city centre?

Are there any other train routes that may be quicker??

You could take the Metro tram from the stadium to Birmingham New Street

Dress up in kit....hop on the team bus, tell them you're one of the CB's. ...nobody, including Wenger, would know you aren't.

I have very little sympathy with anyone going and enduring this game.

I don’t understand why the need to continue with a 4.30pm kick off though, now that the Spurs game has been cancelled!! At least kick off at 4pm.

It's only a 4 1/2 mile walk from The Hawthorns to New Street and there's bound to be a couple of pubs open on the way.
