What a fucking joke.

Says it all about this pathetic squad and its pathetic manager. Zero discipline. It's all about the money, the image and the lifestyle to these little pricks.

Not saying it isn't true, but for an away game wouldn't they be in a hotel and on a curfew??

If he did go out, then he has let himself, the manager, the fans and the team down and should be severely reprimanded (possibly even sacked). I wouldn't blame the manager as Iwobi is a grown man and should know what is expected of him and shouldn't need to be watched 24x7.

No doubt it is true...we already know wenger has no control over players.....remember when he was asked about Ozil after he reported sick and had no idea where he was or when he would come back...

As for Iwobi, doubt it had any affect on his performance the guy is shite.....should never be playing for the Arsenal, but seems to be a regular

Wenger .....Manager of men..... :coffeespit:

Forget this story for a minute Iwobi is just not good enough. Hope hes enjoying his moment in the spotlight he'll be lucky if he plays for Chesterfield in 5 years time.

Still can’t understand Gnabry. As a kid coming into the side, he only ever did himself credit whenever he was given a chance in my mind. Looked a serious talent and one winter got a run of about five games due to injuries. Was superb against Spurs in the FA Cup and scored the winner at Swansea. Cast aside immediately once perennial failures like Walcott / Gervinho / Arshavin / Ox / whichever useless shite we had on the wing then were fit again. And then he stitches him up by loaning him to Pulis who unsurprisingly takes great delight in playing cloggers like Morrison ahead of him every game and then gleefully telling everybody that these young kids at big clubs aren’t half as good as they think. Not surprised to see him rebuilding his career pretty quickly in Germany.

Campbell was never quite up to it at this level for me but he was always industrious and caused defenders a problem with his work rate and desperation to influence the game - useful option to have off the bench who would without fail object some tempo into a sluggish performance. Didn’t do a lot wrong.

Iwobi is genuinely appalling for a player at this level. Technically poor, constantly losing possession and moves breaking down at him, cannot finish (and rarely gets into a goal scoring position) and genuinely a championship footballer. Other clubs must be fucking laughing at the amount of game time he gets for us. He is fucking shit.

It's all about the training pitch for Wenger. Comedy Iwobi can probably tippy tappy with the best of them in training, but Gnabry was too adventurous and didn't really do the pointless stat-building tippy tappy that Wenger masturbates furiously over.

And that is the bottom line ............ partying made absolutely no difference to his performance cos he is shit most weeks anyway
Tbh I would rather this story had never got out - as it stood every fan was focusing on how shit the guy is, but sure as night follows day, some akb's will point to this and claim it as undeniable proof that it is the players and not wenker that is at fault for this malaise

Agreed. The rag that printed the story isn't exactly a paragon of journalistic integrity, however we shouldn't need stories like this to make us question the players.

Iwobi: what does he do? He doesn't score, doesn't create chances for others, doesn't tackle. he literally contributes nothing.

Bellerin: He's been in the paper each day wearing women's pyjamas, 700 quid slippers and that stupid Mulan haircut attending Fashion Week.

In general I think we should be much more critical of our young players. With many teams a young player gets into the team, does a couple of good things, gets wanked over by MotD and suddenly he's the nest Messi, Maldini etc.
We've seen it with Coquelin, Frimpong, Song, Denison, etc etc.
To me, most of our young players look lackadaisical and sloppy. We want them to do well because they're wearing an Arsenal shirt, but were our 18-20 year olds any better than Forest's 18-20 year olds?

AKBs will cling to any bit of wreckage Augie.

I'm glad this story has come out as it is yet another example of the utter shambles that Wenger presides over. It can only add to the scrutiny (something that Wenger hates) and will help to turn people against the regime, as they see more evidence of unprofessionalism.

Yes true about Gnabry....must have upset Wenger in some way...been a few like that though

As for Iwobi really comical the way he constantly calls for the ball....and when he gets it has no idea what to do with it, so inevitably it goes back or sideways....him and Wally you really could not make it up :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Iwobi is another product of project Wenger. Minimal talent ,but if allied to a good attitude might make a decent player at a lower level. But I would question his attitude. He is a headless chicken on the pitch , as said above he is clueless when on the ball, he panics and looks for the easiest option available.
He wasn't any worse than any of the others on Sunday or any worse than he himself has been all season. But if he broke the curfew rule he should be punished.
