It's nice to win a game and I'm pleased that we did but after the first 25mins or so the game became tedious. Futile attempt after futile attempt, needless giving the ball away and a lack of winning mentality left me as frustrated as if we'd lost.

Thoughts? :?

I'm going 2-0 to us with an unconvincing performance
On what basis do you think we are able to score 2 goals ?

We don't need Aubameyang now, we have internal solutions.

Seriously I tuned in using a 'stream' at 30' to my surprise we were 4-0 up, then I quickly realised that would be it for the game so tuned out at half-time, wise decision by the sounds of it as with most things Arsenal it peters out.

Another futile win but should be enough to keep most of the dimwit AKB fans onboard and keep Wenger in his job of boring us all to death.

Hard to be critical after an emphatic win but at 4 nil up so early I really hoped we'd cut loose and play some high tempo football and finally try to break free from the tedious, insipid, mind numbing football that's plagued us for so long.

Instead we just slipped back to the same old dross, defenders under no pressure passing straight to the opposition, players afraid to take people on choosing instead to turn around and pass backwards.

Over complicating our moves around the box instead of going for the jugular. It all just became the norm - stale, boring noting football and Pete the Plank remains on 199 clean sheets.

It was a good steady performance against poor opposition and we did what was needed.

Some of you miserable fuckers are in for a shock when OGL finally leaves, even if we get a top class manager i can't see us doing any different at 4 up from what we did today

I think some of you have reached a stage where nothing the team does will ever be good enough and some will find reasons to be disparaging of any performance due to what Wiggy and Froggy have done to the club

It's difficult but sometimes its just better to view it as a good performance and leave it at that otherwise you'll never get any pleasure from watching the team ever again

Excellent win today.
The first 23 minutes saw the best football we've played for some time.
A crucial win. It's all set up for a great night on Wednesday.
I can see us going on a long unbeaten run now.

Say it every time but this bloke has to be a wind up surely? "A crucial win". For what exactly?

"Long unbeaten run" :coffeespit: Would that be an "unbeaten run" like the one in December when we lost ground on your holy grail of the VT with a series of draws?

The only criticism i have of that half is Bellerin's unwillingness to take his man on, i find it really frustrating when our faster players has acres of space to run into but always stops play goiing forward :rubchin:
Yes but that is standard progress under wenger - I remember when Sagna first arrived - He had good pace and would take on his opponent on the flankj leave him for dead etc..then a few months under wenger and he was soon bombing forward but instead of taking on his man he would stop and pass the ball backwards. It is what happens to all our full-backs - the only exception was cashley.

ps Just got in and nearly fainted when I saw the score..then memories of that game against the Toon came back to haunt me... :?

I am dreading seeing that *word censored*'s smirking arrogant face in the post match interviews..well errr well errr

Looked good for the first 22 minutes - then we reverted back to normal. We looked very tired & slow second half. Monrael was doing OK until he got injured - what's his problem - anyone know ??. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Since I stopped going I can barely raise the interest to watch MOTD let alone care what happens .
Sanchez ,so what ? Ozil .....meh ! Iwobi show me.
I've been offered a seat for Chelsea semi ,doubt if I will either go or watch.

Now I've got that feeling once again
