This attempt by some to say - "if it was you who was earning vast amounts of money to be a yes man, you would do it" are the same people who lash out at ex players who have the gall to leave wanker and the sinking ship. I know i get certain posters having a go at me for saying it. but it's rather laughable to see people have a go at the likes of RVP for doing what was best for his career, but at the same time defending Bould for doing what is best for his. This is just hypocritical.

You've not really taken the 'leaving the club that has done right by you' as opposed to 'staying at the club that has done right by you' bit.

RvP pissed off after having contributed very little over much of his stay, and while I'm sure Bould appreciates his take home pay, maybe he feels it's better to contribute just a little to the team rather than leave Darth Wenger to weave his evil over the club.
I don't know, but it pisses me off when posters slag him off without knowing his motivation, role or responsibilities.

I'm sorry but he is either part of the problem or part of the solution. There is zero chance he has been allowed have any influence over the defensive side of the game, and there is zero chance he is been allowed have any input on things, more than putting out the cones, while eating chewing gum. Your trying to portray him as fighting the good fight, as opposed to the reality, which is he is a yes man, happy to take his fat pay cheque, and not uttering a word. As for RVP, i think he is a dickhead, but i laugh at anyone who uses the defence of "Wouldn't we all do it" in reference to Bould, but they don't apply that logic to RVP. In business terms, he fucked off to a more successful and well run business, and wouldn't we all do that(regardless of how much we contributed to our old job).

If I were being paid this sort of wedge I wouldn't be quitting any job but then I'm not as well off as Mr Bould .
The Wenger gravy train is big and all consuming ,the fitness coaches do some work but it's Wenger that leads everything we do.
The rest are paid to carry out his wishes or in the case of Bould to do nothing as he is excluded from all managerial or coaching duties except being there .

Agree. If somebody offered me 30k a week to doss about on a training pitch and a bench, I’d be quids in. Even if you were able to get a job paying anywhere near that much in the City, the hours and stress which you work under would be immense.

Can’t say I would expect to be immune from criticism for doing so.

And that is the bottom line for me - it seems that some people feel that bould should be exempt from criticism for the shitfest on the pitch because he is a former player, but if money is his motivation/priority then he should face the same flak as every other coach, scout and medical staff member in the club. His priority is steve bould not Arsenal FC, and should be judged accordingly

How can Bould do anything when Wenger controls everything that happens at the club. Wenger is 1% manager and 99% controller. Fuck me, if the guy was fat he’d have a fuckin train!
