well what I have done is blank out any memory of the tedious group stages (not too difficult - already i have forgotten who any of the teams we played were) and am just pretending that the Cup Winners Cup starts with this match.

to be honest the UEFA cup from now is what most on here want from a European competition - knockout matches against teams we should be competitive against.
