How many will show up for this one? Lower than that Thursday night game against West Brom a couple of seasons ago I reckon

It will be boring as fuck won't it - we'll probably let them score a comedy goal despite them being utter gash but win 3-1 on the night

A real statement of intent as we knock out the fifth best team in Sweden, 6-1 on aggregate. Atletico take note ! :D

reminds me when we beat lincoln last season to get to the fa cup semi, theo was like "we've gotten to to wembley so it's already a great achievement", well looking at who we beat to get there i don't really agree mate
Newport, Rochdale the Sutton and Lincoln equivalent and we didn't need replays.
Got to add, they should have made Spurs play their FA cup games away from Wembley, kind of kills the incentive of the teams they've played at Wembley.

Dont agree with that at all - they are renting the place to play their home games there, and if they are drawn at home then of course they should be played at wembley.
What I will say though, is if they get to the fa semi finals, then that game should not be played at wembley - these games are meant to be played at a neutral venue, and whilst I dont expect the cup final to be moved, their semi should def be moved to mancland or scouseland
I understand that point and I think Newport and Rochdale will agree with you. Their incentive of progressing is minimised by getting a replay played at the "iconic" venue. Then again Wembley has devalued it's status by renting out for a season.
Wemberlee devalued it's status by letting that filthy vermin rent it. It's like if renowned actress Meryl Streep started doing dog porn.
for.fucks.sake.

Was at Highbury in 1980 with 36'000 when we beat Gothenburg 5-1
Went behind that night as well
And it was the 1st leg

Wasn't the group game against Bate the lowest ever attendance at the bowl? Less than 30,000 by all accounts, reckon this one will dwarf that

When I heard that score last night I imagined the Bayern fans singing " are you Arsenal in disguise ?"

Football fans behave in normal fashion shock
I loved Highbury
But this mythology that's has built around it being a place where everyone was committed always is a load of old nonsense
There were plenty of quiet day/ nights
Alway pickers and choosers
I went to all these games
Many didn't just like they won't tomorrow
Nature of the beast
1987
After a 3-0 win at Doncaster
18'000 were at Highbury to see the second leg 1-0

1993
5-0 win at Huddersfield
19' 000 for 1-1 at Highbury

1994
5-0 win at Hartlepool
20'000 for 2-0 win at Highbury

1995
3-0 win at Hartlepool
27'000 at Highbury for 5-0 win
I even went to Bristol rovers for a league cup 2 nd leg that we had won 4-0 at Highbury
Some rep came into where I was working and said he was driving if we fancied it
About 4 on the day of the game
The Europa league looked to be a great opportunity for good old fashioned general sale late deciders but the farce of the cologne game put paid to that
I would have got a bit of a crew together from family friends and work colleagues for all these games
But it is too much of a palava with the memberships
There was nothing wrong with the move to the Emirates
There is everything wrong with sticking with a manager who is no longer fit for purpose
We drew a team in this round who are basically a relegation zone championship team
We could just as easily drawn Napoli
That would have pricked more interest
That is the nature of a draw
And has been thus since I have always known
The games I mentioned came in a period where we won 2 leagues
An fa cup
A league cup
A cup winners cup
Were league cup runners up and cup Winners cup runners up
We were league cup holders for that Doncaster game but only 18'000 turned out
The crowds for the league cup ties at the Emirates have been phenomenal
44 thousand for the game with Doncaster this season
Sold as lowest crowd at Emirates in the mirror
Chelsea 40' 000 for game with forest built up as wonderful
Go figure

There is also a counter myth of the Highbury library saying that it was always quiet with no atmosphere.... it wasn't. I experienced many many great days and nights in Highbury when the place was rocking. Yep there were a few quiet ones too just like at any club (for example anyone that's been to Anfield will confirm the famous Kop is a bit of a myth).

But I've never experienced a decent atmosphere in the Conglomerates bowl. Of course I haven't gone near the place for the last couple seasons so maybe it's changed since I last went.... but I doubt that.

I'd take Highbury over the Conglomerates every day of the week and still believe moving is the worst decision the club ever made - after Wenger's last 2 or 3 contract extensions of course....

Of coarse
It's not something that can be faked
You get that sense of when it really matters and the crowd respond as such
Titles cup wins etc do that and they live in the memory and the fabric of the place
Sadly because of Wenger settling for less rather than being the trophy gobbler needed
The great experiences at the Emirates have been tainted by a failure to complete the job
But the Emirates has rocked
Coming from behind to beat united in that first season
Beating Spurs in that league cup semi 1st season
The Chelsea win when gallas scored
Bendtner coming on v Spurs to win that game after they had missed a pen in 07/08
Coming from behind to draw and beat Barcelona
Just a few that spring to mind
We will probably win 2-0 tonight and you will get all the old bollocks about how could we only beat a team of farmers by that. Forgetting that legends of the past had similar results in similar circumstances
The past is gone
Your next game is always your most important one
I believe we will have loads of great ones at the Emirates
We just need to come out the comfort zone of a manager no longer good enough
