huge win for england, and for a change it was the bowlers who won it, rather than the batsmen. cant see collingwood getting back in the side bar injuries. still more consistancy needed to stand a chance of winning it. now just hope Ireland can put up a good fight v india, although 208 will be very hard to defend.

Can't believe England won...

Let's hope Ireland can keep India to a low score...

They were actually rather impressive Rebel. Any team other than India and a bowling display like that could see them win.

Biggest problem is that India have such a strong batting lineup.

Gutted Sri Lanka didn't win, but well done India, a great, great tournament and a very good final. The 50 over game definitely has been shown in a good light by this tournament :barscarf:

The entire country was waiting for this for 28 years, it was the world's biggest street party on the 2nd. So proud of the boys, they were the favourites and they handled that pressure brilliantly.

And it was heart warming to see Sachin lifting that trophy, the man has achieved everything there is to achieve in cricket, have carried Indian cricket on his shoulders for over 2 decades. It was fitting that he can call himself a world cup winner now. I just hope he continues to play for at least a couple of more years. He is a role model not only to cricketers but any sportsman, a lot of our young spoiled multimillionaire footballers can learn from him.
