For Christ's sake we've done this thread a thousand times. WE GET IT. Half of you hate the Police and blame them for everything that has ever happened in the world ever. And half of you hate the Mousers. There! That's this stupid f*cking thread summed up. :banghead:

Fair points Bren and Herd, but do you not think that in jibbing en masse at Arsenal over the years after Hillsborough, at Wembley and most notably in Athens in 07 they have shown crass disregard for those innocents that died?

Jibbing is jibbing and has been going on forever,it happens in all walks of life too, moralising on it won't change the facts.
Don't know why DB's off on one, he falls squarely into the scouse hater category and thus considers other opinion on the subject as trite .

The Police, the scousers and those who were responsible at a time when it was thought neccessary to put fences up at football grounds.

I think is important to get the truth in situations like this to prevent history repeating more so that to just share out blame (of course i might feel diffrently if I lost somebody that day).

I would like if it could made as safe as possilbe from the findings of what has happend before, to have a mixture of standing and seating, like the german grounds, and you choose where to go / buy standing or seated, i mean surley you can sign a disclaimer or something, people are allowed to jump out of aeroplanes with parachutes, arent they?

Without fences those people would be alive and terracing still about. Football would be different and the Scousers champions thirty times

Not really a Scouse hater tbh Herd. And not a Police hater either. It's just that every few months this stupid thread pops up on here and it's just the same old rehashed arguments over and over.

Tbf DB I posted the thread amused by the irony of the whole situation. The mousers have been calling for access to the files for years, suspecting some sort of cover up. Now when they are actually to be released, they will show that those in in the highest ranks of the merseyside police, who have experience of dealing with these fans week in and week out, actually blamed them for the incident and told Thatcher just that.
This coming not long after the release of Government papers suggesting that Thatcher herself actually considered allowing the place to basically fall into ruin, must have felt like a real kick in the balls to those lovely folk from l'pool.
But hey, given their famous "wit" and "sense of humour" sure they will be able to laugh it all off.
(I myself am a scouse hater, in case you hadn't noticed  )
