RIP Thread

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

augie and McD - sorry to hear about the death of Sean. Didn't know the man, but he sounds like a good bloke taken far too young.

RIP.

To be fair he was more of a football acquaintance of mine where as McD was a childhood friend of Sean and would have been a hellofa lot closer to him than I was

Scott Weiland, lead vocalist of the Stone Temple Pilots, died in his sleep yesterday aged 48.

Core; Purple (esp.) and Tiny Music are all good albums. Not surprised to hear of his passing as he had well documented drug problems but still saddening.

They were a great band for a time in the mid-nineties.

Close your eyes and drift away.

5Live have just announced from Stamford Bridge that Jimmy Hill has died, aged 87.

A bit of a revoluntionary; key player in abolishing the £20 p/w max wage, 3 points for a win etc.

Also wrote the words to Good Old Arsenal !!

Turned Highfield Road into the first all seat ground well before the Revolution.

Was part of my childhood - when someone told a tall story, you would respond either , Jim, Jim, itchy chin or oh yeah chinney reckon, while stroking your imaginary beard.
