Short holiday destination ?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Full of dutch English and locals who flock there ,its ok for a night and has a great amusment park with great rides out but I wouldn't want to stay there .
Up the road in Torredembarra they have nice beaches fewer people !
Tenerife ,benidorm of the canaries ,to be avoided at all costs !

thanks for the advice, i think i'll go to Bournemouth instead :) :)

You end up with snapped ACLs and dodgy DJs there, stick to Cleethorpes, you know it makes sense

Had a cracking time in Prague. Went Sunday to Friday so until the last night there were no stag dos and the Irish and English bars in the Old Town Square acted as a moron magnet for moronic British tourists. Brilliant beer, dirt cheap and boiling hot, winner.

Am now, Croatia was wonderful, very picturesque, good food, beautiful coastline and they all speak English which made my few Croatian words I'd learnt redundant apart from getting smiles for trying !!

Mrs Tg and her friends do northern Spain on a girls thing. Think it's the San Sebastian area, beaches are a bit cooler than southern Spain but beaches are supposed to be good and it's less children geared so might be an option. Also relatively cheap for flights as not as popular as the beaten track.

If you're looking for the thread about poster's other halves getting passed between Spanish barmen and lifeguards here's the link mate:

You can't beat Costa de Sol Spain for me. Only 2.5 hour flight guaranteed sun for the whole summer
great beer and cheap food if you don't eat and drink in Puerto Banus or Marbella
