Re: Ryder Cup
Got to admit I like the Ryder Cup. Purely as a sporting spectacle the last one was up there with just about anything for drama. although it is golf which did take away a huge amount of the enjoyment. But still I do watch this particular event if I've got time.
Europe are quite clear favourites, agreed. Hope Poulter weaves his magic again. Also thought Mickelsons's comments were very funny and anybody pretending to be offended or whatever needs to remove every grain of sand from their crack.

Re: Ryder Cup
Should have played it on a cold rainy golf course in Stoke. That'll test the Americans' bottle.officepest wrote:Will they play it in a lightning storm? I do hope so.

Also, am I the only one that is sick of the way the media are trying to take these boring middle class geek hobbyists (golf ain't a sport!! ) and give them "personality"? The photoshoots, the ludicrous 1970's pimp clothes, the fucking achingly cringeworthy little dance routines, the including of their (surprisingly mostly rough as guts) "wags" in everything...

Absolutely hate gofe with a passion. It costs ludicrous money to play (poor people need not apply) and it's shit and it smells and it quite possibly caused the '04 tsunami too.

Waste of a good walk-
The working class version of golf would involve kicking a football along a road and walking after it, for four hours. Not sure it would catch on though.

Re: Ryder Cup
N DB10 you are not , but the bandwagon Oireland was searching for was found. WE are playing USA.. 44% of Scotland didn't want to be in the UK and yet people are using the term "we" in relation to Europe.DB10GOONER wrote:officepest wrote:Will they play it in a lightning storm? I do hope so.

Well done Europe. Our captain's picks really let us down.
