Any runners on here?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

On the contrary Armchair, I'd imagine it must be quite rewarding to be cheered on by your own private fan base :barscarf:

Mild, overcast, some sun, little wind.

Average 8.39min/mile

Todays top tip: Do some shorter runs for a while then tack two of them together. Kinda fools you into thinking the subsequent longer run isn't quite so long. I think. :?

Have you noticed the current trend of running extreme distances?

When I was a lad, the idea of running a marathon was extreme enough - but recently, I've sponsored a guy in the office who ran 100 miles (  ) - he knackered his knee after 50 miles and hobbled the rest :o

I know another guy at work who is training for a 60-odd mile run soon and another who did a 30-odd mile run that invovled challenges along the way such as wading through freezing water and getting electrocuted

Insane. :|

So people come up to you, tell you that there running 100 miles - ask for money - and you give it to them?

 :D
