I do wonder exactly how much influence we had within the E.U . It seemed that although we might occasionally taken a step forward the rules got changed and we went back again. As for the E.U telling us what to do , that is purely politicians jockeying for position. Nothing could be done until the article was posted and everything before that was posture from all sides . Now is when the business people will start to bring pressure to bear and the politicos will have to listen to their electorates. Should get interesting soon as the countries align themselves and I doubt that we will be as cut adrift as you think.

Why anyone would think they could win argument by throwing in personal insults is beyond me.
I am personally well happy now Artical 50 is done and dusted. We move on from here. There are many encouraging signs now that the EU has softened its stance and realises that sensible arrangements have to be made for the mutual benefit of both sides. The UK economy is looking fine. We have the lowest unemployment rate for about forty years.
It would make perfect sense for Remoaners to swallow pride and get behind our four countries. We are where we are.
They just need to forgive all us Leave voters for being knuckle dragging xenophobic idiots who haven't got the sense to tie our own shoe laces.
I respect your views Olgit but we obviously must read differing newspapers :D

just a reminder that the UK is doing fine now because we havent actually left the EU yet...
I was proud to vote Remain so that Britain would still retain power and influence in the world, whereas now we will have the EU telling us what to do.
Leavers still do not seem to understand that.
Hi Rob.

I read your Guardian link. Unsurprisingly it's a load of left wing drivel. It's not reportage. Whoever wrote it should have put his/her name to the article. Maybe too embarrassed to do so. It deserves a place in someone's Letters Page signed Angry from Tunbridge Wells :) .I refuse to be influenced by left wing or right wing garbage.

Re your comment about the UK being told what to do by the EU.....I will quote John McEnroe.....you cannot be serious man! :)

Many people who voted for Brexit did so not out of any malice towards Europe but out of disgust for what the EU has become .
The Federalist Juggernaut driven by german autocrats has been corrupted and subverted by the IMF ,World bank and other sinister globalist groups .
Britain's Exit might just shake things up !

Imagine quoting The Guardian without a hint of irony. There's a reason it's losing money every day, it's for people with a double digit IQ aka leftists.

Retain power? In case you're unaware, Germany runs the show and the EU is their baby, we were just small share owners. Britain will soon be free from the constrains of EU bureaucracy and free to do business how they want with the rest of the world. The EU can't tell us what to do if we are not in it. Are you sure you've got your facts straight? You seem a bit confused on the whole matter.

Just making the point but we've always been told what to do by the EU, now we can choose to ignore it as it is no longer law or regulation or if it suits us we can agree to it. We don't have to go back to the EU bargaining against something which does not benefit us or is not in our interests.

I'm not an angry remainer though, I am a sad remainer.
this guy sounds very angry though. what have all you leavers got against our neighbours so much?

in the globalised world of the 21st century everyone is better off all working together, instead of being so insular.

I see Nigel Farage has made himself look an even bigger fool today than he usually does

What have I got against my neighbours ? Nothing . But then I don't pay through the nose for their upkeep. I have great regard for their history and way of life so much so that I love visiting . Vive le difference ,vida la differencia I say.

In the globalised world of the 21st century everyone is better off all working together, instead of being so insular.

That is the problem , globalisation is eating up the weaker for the benefit of the strong . Germany is booming , France even-ing out , We are doing alright and all the rest suffer. It's the melting pot syndrome , make everyone the same and control from a central state.

You're happy to see hundreds of thousands of migrants to come here every year and destroy the fabric of this country, fuck globalism.

No, but it's the first major step. If the politicians won't do it then we vote them out.

My point still stands, the romantic globalism model you love so much is destroying European countries as is evident in Germany by Merkel's disastrous refugee policy. Look at France, they imported the 3rd world in record numbers and now large parts of Paris and the surrounding areas are no go Muslim zones. Globalism benefits big corporate multi nationals but fucks over the rest of us. The average citizen don't see any benefit from mass migration but a strain on the infrastructure and racial/cultural tension. Do you think the housing, schools and the NHS can sustain 300-400,000 economic migrants every year?

What bubble do you live in? Are all you leftists hell bent on completely destroying this country?
